I'll arrange a visit through our normal back channels then?

You just think you escaped. He probably surreptitiously inserted a tracker you're unaware of..... or possibly a Mars Bar.....

In praise of three companies I love to hate.

I've spare wall anchors too as I didn't use them to fix mine. Instead I used resin fixed studding. Yours if you need them. -
I never liked the coffee Walnut Whips... They're very light tbh. Use a couple of clamps to hold loosely in place.
-
Will do. This is worth a watch:

Thanks for thinking of me but my stuff is Kappa UP200. Pretty sure they're not compatible. I've 3 frames and 2 plates here, just the one frame and plate fitted. Off I go now to look for a cheap Kappa plate whilst I think of it! -
Just ordered a fake Makita 18V grinder for £23. It's orange.........

To keep an eye on lady callers.

How much power they consume is related to just how "eco" these lodges are. Modern building specs are tbh woeful when you compare the lengths people on here go to to achieve fantastic air tightness and insulation levels. Mass builders (probably including eco lodge builders) just generally don't take the time or pay the same attention to detail as individuals with a true understanding of the two concepts. Those that do see massive rewards in terms of lower or even negative fuel bills often when coupled with decent sized PV. So "eco" might be very misleading in this case.

You won't be able to listen to Queen's I Want To Break Free again without flashbacks ?
-
You could take the time to pin a Sam Fox/Linda Lusardi/Kathy Lloyd poster directly above your bed like I had as a kid. Wouldn't be so bad looking up the hole then.
-
I'm more impressed you managed to escape!
-
Have you noticed Zoot that you've stopped whinging about your ASHP? ?
-
Wait till you get it then?
-
No different to if you line each side with 9mm ply and are a mm too tight! Noggins will move enough with a big hammer. They just do.
-
I was going suggest that...but didn't. I couldn't face the "will it be strong enough without the noggins" etc. Hang on...he wants to prep it now before he gets the hatch. Nothing wrong with my way Zoot, go for it, just use a square.

Isn't Wales part of Britain?
-
For Britain and then some! ?
-
The 03 version has a hatch you can remove completely and put to one side rather than just hinging down.

Says the self confessed Lockdown Lardarse! ?

Yep take your time to get the noggins a nice snug fit. Not so tight you have to welt in with a club hammer! Hopefully your two joists are parallel i.e 580 apart. Make sure your noggins go in square so it's a nice rectangle. You could chuck a smear of wood glue in for good measure. I'm not sure how deep the joists are but I'd chuck a couple of wood screws in to hold the noggins. If you feel 6x100s too big then say 5x80s. You will need to pack one side. 580-562=18. A strip of 18mm ply or MDF MIGHT slip in if your lucky. Or 3 strips even where the loft hatch screw holes are. That bucket of Screwfix packs I told you to buy ages ago may come in handy! ?

I can just about get up through a 450*450 access hatch I've just put in a ceiling. Wouldn't want to go any smaller. If you want to store stuff up there you might kick yourself you didn't go bigger.
-
It is insulated, have another read! You can just add some more on the back. ...included within the back of the door is an insulation material.
-
563x562 then, a square one. This pushes up. So you could insulate the back with a real deep thickness of insulation: https://www.buildingplasticsltd.co.uk/Manthorpe-GL260-Loft-hatch-Access-Door-p/mangl260.htm
