  1. You can't seriously be worried about the packaging??? How does it all perform?
  2. SDS plus to max adapter: https://www.amazon.co.uk/121009-Chuck-Adaptor-Shank-Makita/dp/B00JRD0CMM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?
  3. Well I'm impressed. No quibble refund via PayPal when I cancelled my order with Banggood.
  4. Yep. You then get a factory edge on top. You remove the 1mm packs when the tile adhesive has gone off. Then ram in clear CT1 and baby wipe off. Finish with a fillet of your choice of coloured silicone. (& remember to only take photos of the good bits ? )
  5. Thought that's what he was doing?
  6. +1 Wall tiles would have looked like pi$$y little rips there. Cut floor tiles will look much better. As Uncle Nick taught me: Put an upside down tile on 1mm / credit card thick packs. To get your cut line etc.
  7. Sure the underlying walls aren't pi$$ed?
  8. Get yer uncle round! ?
  9. Does that mean SWMBO could go for 3 months then I could go after? That'd work... Thinking further if she did Jul/Aug/Sep then I went Oct/Nov/Dec it'd take us into the next year and start all over again......
  10. 13 pages to refresh your memory:
  11. Give them their due they've come back acknowledging I want to cancel, asking why and if there's anything they can do to keep my order etc. I've just said I made a mistake. See what transpires.
  12. Trying to cancel a Banggood order, even though you apparently can.....what a mission! Talking to a service bot that states 24/7 working. So wtf does it say "Beyond working hour"? The site, well I'm finding it horrible to navigate. The English is pretty poor. Not sure tbh if I've managed to cancel the order or not. The status says "processing". Lesson learnt...probably not! ?
  13. Read reviews first? Nah, I don't have much excitement in my life.

  15. Purchased on a whim! Makita battery powered reciprocating saw. Didn't really need one but... https://m.banggood.com/Cordless-Handheld-Electric-Reciprocating-Saw-Saber-Saw-W-or-12X-Blades-For-Makita-18V-Battery-p-1723641.html? 3-5 days from the Czech Republic. We'll see! EDIT: Just found it on WISH for half what I paid! ? https://www.wish.com/c/5f23f92e7c363e2a618f53da?
  16. That'd be nice: Check that grout line though!
  17. There's this image: Here: https://www.calor.co.uk/home-energy/new-to-lpg/my-options/lpg-installation-options?tabname=lpg-cylinders
  18. I'm going to get a small UPS if only for the bathroom Bluetooth unit here. We must have had half a dozen small power cuts last night and in the middle of the night the Bluetooth would play it's little power on tune! I should ring the supplier tbh and ask wtf is going on.
  19. It's about a group of nerd scientists, one of whom lands a hot girlfriend. If only life imitated art eh?
  20. Can you not dig a little pit thus lowering the cylinders?

  22. Would the kids get the spherical chickens in a vacuum joke, inside the crackers though?
  23. The red Polypipe panels take the place of the layer of polythene atop the foil faced insulation. You end up using less concrete/screed with the panels but the resultant slab is less dense of course. The upstands form little air pockets / hollows underneath. My slab is 100mm thick. I then have a layer of A142 mesh sits on top. It does save too on support chairs. It is SO easy and quick to lay pipe as the video shows. Me using my home made de coiler. I cast the main slab but left the wet room corner until later when I cast that area to falls with an exotic pea shingle, SBR heavy concrete mix. The mistake I made was leaving it so long. I was standing on / bouncing up and down on the mesh that I started to abrade the UFH pipe! Luckily I spotted it and mitigated with some trunking off cuts: In fact in this area, because of the fall I actually cut out the Polypipe panels (a mission as the mesh was in place. I then put a membrane down on the foil faced PIR, tied the pipe to the mesh and concreted.
  24. My money's on him returning this month in a red suit riding an airborne sleigh he knocked up in the garage.
  25. He's sent me a CNC control board he wasn't using and did some 3D printing for me. Also a media player. All FOC. All without any fanfare other than a nice offer. I've reciprocated and sent him memory sticks, some heavy duty electromagnets...think that's all. That's how it should work imo. I'd love to know if he ever did complete his ACME pheasant trap! Anyway forums are a bit notorious for stuff like this, you lose the nuances of face to face interaction and it's easy to take or cause offence. It also takes time to develop relationships even virtual ones. We can't all sit down and have a pint together and thrash things out / bond. Chuck in quirky, eccentric personalities etc. Let's face it if you're into self building or heavy DIY you're probably not normal and sweat the detail, some more than others! ?
