I just gave the toolbox I made at 16 a quick dunk in a citric acid bath and then etch primed it. Has more than a few pin holes but it had been neglected. The knurling tool and drill clamp I made are likely recoverable, not do sure about the surface gauge. A bit gutted I let them get in this state but in the intervening 40 years, "life" happened. Amazing to think I made all the nuts and bolts!

It's called the kitchen sink.

The centre finder works a treat. Hold tight against the perimeter and scribe a line. Move around the perimeter and scribe another. Do a third. Where the lines intersect is your centre:

I made my metal centre finder by hand, even the chamfer was filed. When I find I'll post a pic. The lugs were silver steel from memory. It was beaten into us to be able to cut to within 20 thou with a hacksaw ? The piece in your picture would be relatively easy to do with a dual head printer. Print the supports in PVA then when done dissolve (the supports) in a bucket of water. I like the idea of how some (Ford I think already) are 3D printing performance exhaust manifolds. All the gas flow is worked out and you end up with nice smooth walls, no welds etc.

Dug out my old EITB drawings from when I was an apprentice. I made a centre finder and V blocks back then amongst many other things. Gave the drawings to No.1 son and he re-did them on Fusion. Now printing the centre finder for my mate John.

If you don't go for resin then use resin instead...

Too late, I've already rubbed the lamp!

No.2 daughter decided she wanted a bit of a Goth themed bedroom makeover, all black and grey walls! ? SWMBO went to IKEA and bought a couple of these "boxes". This despite my protestations that I could make them. Apparently I'd "take too long"... I'd thought I'd have a crack anyway at making some same size, similar ones...just to show her! Plan is 8 of these 3D printed corner "guides" to hold it all square whilst it glues. Will probably use Gorilla expanding glue, no screws.

Less flush plate options for a start on the Omega and Delta. With the Sigma you can end up paying hundreds for an LED touchless plate. I don't think the Omega or Delta offer the squirty up the ar$e Aquaclean or odour extraction systems either?

An option for this sort of thing for the pigeon holes is water jet cutting the MDF etc (the slightly swollen edge shrinks back on drying) or even laser from a DXF. So they slot together with no fixings. Can be very neat. This might interest some on here: https://en.makercase.com/#/

Japanese, French, American... Could you add Permasteelisa (Italian)and Yuanda (Chinese) to that list? Guess they only do commercial... -
I like that term! ? It wasn't that long ago that a large number of members here would have fallen into that category. Any alternative to fossil fuels was seen as the domain of hippies on a commune. There were of course massive issues of vested interests to overcome.

Stud walls for wall hung toilets

This is my pan. A really heavy duty, well made thing imho. Concealed fixings etc. I should have bought another two, pre Brexit etc when they were £130 each! https://bernstein-badshop.com/toilets/wall-mounted-wc/a-3283 -
I think the Geberit Sigma range offers the best choice of flush plates.

You need to know the dimns between centres of flush and poo pipes to make sure they match the Geberit frame. You then need the dimn from top of porcelain to say poo pipe to set your frame. -

You need to get the section drawing drawing for the pan! Something like this: Even then mine didn't quite match up. I only set the frame height once I had the pan. -
With even 300mm of EPS under his slab, a member here with a super insulated house build calculated an 8% heat loss down through the floor. 100mm is not enough.
