Can’t you get a second opinion or find a surgeon that will do the op as it was such a success fir you? A good friend of mine had a serious foot problem after a bad break and he found out about a procedure that was not available according to his GP, he found a surgeon up North that was willing to do it and it’s been a success.
-
I will watch that tonight, I do like Dr Mosely he talks a lot of sense. If the surgery was sch a success why is it no longer available? i remember another of his programmes where a lady had chronic back pain, could hardly move and was on massive amounts of painkillers, after several different approaches he got a marshal arts instructor to have a go with gentle exercise, the effect was massive if slow, she regained most of her movement and virtually stopped the medication apart from “bad days”.

I made a point of telling everyone (even the postman) that I was on a tight budget and therefore had to do a lot myself, it brought out the best in most people.

I am sure that I read on this or another forum that planners were not allowed to specify where a slate came from, just the colour. Someone got a slate he liked (and could afford) and was similar in colour to the local quarry (that the planners wanted used) and pencilled on the back the name of that quarry, sent it to the planners as a sample and they passed it!. Worth a thought.

Just got a quote from Holland fir £119 (50% discount) from a pucka company, waiting fir Carrier now.
-
Right, a new day (and I got my tractor going ?) I just got a call from Carrier and they are going to contact their factory In France and check availability and price for this GMC board, they tried to tell me I needed to pay for an engineer visit to diagnose the fault but I talked them out of that saying I had been given professional advise elsewhere. It will take a couple of days to get a reply. I will post it. I think I have decided to programme the UFH using the command unit in the cloakroom but keep the Wunda room stat in the hallway just to display the temp (not going to tell er indoors, she will play with the temp etc but it won’t change what I have done ?) plus the fact it will hide a hole in the wall.

As @PeterW says, who is to know that they are not building it for themselves? Your just the project manager.

Wow (not jealous at all!! ).

Kingspan heating (or lack of) issue
joe90 replied to Lynford's topic in Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
Just be careful what room stat you use ? -
Yup, I have 20 20 hindsight ? on another point with this should I use this stat to operate a relay to operate the ASHP (means the relay is always on when heating is required) or should I find room stat that has a dry contact? answers on a postcard to @joe90
-
Actually my plumber did not fit a flow meter and it’s just occurred to me what speed I should set the pump at (external pump as none in the ASHP)..

Yet another welcome from someone near Bude (but in Devon) who is near the end of our build and a whole lot wiser about passive house even after being a builder myself for years. Remember there is no such thing as a silly question, silly, is not asking. There is a wealth of very good knowledge here and people are very generous with that knowledge. We too have a woodburner (would not be without it) but some on here are against them so be prepared to defend your choice.
-
Yes, I think @PeterW had the same problem trying to source a TRV for his manifold.
-
Right, got a reply from Wunda, they say the stat is clearly marked as switched 240v, 3 amp and they deny they told me it was a volt free contact . My word against theirs I suppose.
-
No, having a coffee, reflecting, but i have a Bottle of wine for tonight ? after stress induced health problems over the years I promised myself I would not get stressed with this build (friends did not think this was possible) but it is, and I am not, I get frustrated but refuse to allow my blood pressure to rise. Chill.

It Really is not my day, now my tractor won’t start, at least there is no electronics In that.
-
Thanks Jeremy, will look later (frankly I am fed up and going to drive my tractor and cut the grass in the field). Still waiting fir Carrier and French suppliers to respond. I have sent WUNDA a terse but polite Email telling them their technical advise department gave me duff info resulting in blowing the board and costing me about £100. I await their reply.

Ebay is your friend https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=garage+doors+with+windiws&_sacat=0

No led flashing or otherwise, ASHP won’t fire up, command unit still working (see above) but external temp missing ?? So some data from ASHP but perhaps the air temp sensor is 12volt driven? (Pure guess work). Waiting to hear from Carrier and French supplier @JSHarris found for me.
-
I will be ringing them, I spoke to Chris so know who I dealt with. May also follow it up with an Email. If nothing else perhaps it will stop it cocking up someone else’s ASHP. Although this is annoying if it does cost me £100 it’s still a cheap deal as I bought the ASHP for £850 delivered. I was just dreading having the same problem as @ProDave and I bought mine from a person privately not a company.
-
Thanks Jeremy, I have messaged these people in France to see what price, availability, and postage . Also waiting to hear back from Carrier. Thanks guys, will post replies.
-
I think I am going back to bed!!!!. Just sent Carrier a message explaing the problem and asking what to check if anything and what price a New board if required. I am definitely sticking to woodwork in the future?.
-
Yup, that’s my worry. The command unit still appears to be working, displays everything except outdoor air temp! .

Bollocks, no joy, the GMC board has an led and this was flashing at 1/2 hz yesterday, nothing now. Checked mains going in and 5 amp fuse on the board is ok. “There is a LED on the GMC board that displays any board errors. The error code can be identified from the flashing LED using the following table. In the case of more than one error, the error with the highest priority will be displayed until it is resolved. In the case of normal operation, the LED flashes at a frequency of 1⁄2 Hz. frequency of 1Hz, it flashes a number of times equal to the error code Diagnostic 6 the flashing is interrupted for 2 seconds between the first and second digits.” I really dont don’t know where I go from here.
