Are you buying a pre made hatch system or making your own???
-
Much leaner and Juicer than beef.
-
No that's perfect. It's 600mm centers so from the centre of one joist to the next should be 600mm.
-
Have you tried to adjust the barrels so it's out at its max and then turn and check each time until it won't close properly.

If they are old Belfast bricks then contact Wilson's reclamation yard and see if they will take them off your hands. They will want good quality and clean though. Or post it on Facebook market place or if you have a Hollywood buy and sell page and see if you get a few bites.

It's not just one thing that has the desired effect. You have to pay attention to every single detail. It doesn't really matter if it's timber frame, ICF or trad if it ain't right it won't work they way you want it to. Going round sealing every conduit, socket, switch, light fitting, taping the edges of doors and windows etc all just keep a tiny bit of heat in. Add all these steps up though and they make the difference.

Just 25mm pir. Been a long time since I worked it out.

I have a wbs that gets lit maybe 6 times a year. You can't have it roaring or the living room and kitchen gets to 28 degrees+ very quick.
-
Block build with a 100mm cavity full fill graphite insulation boards. Inside skin is lightweight blocks. Lots of tape and membrane. 150mm pir in the floor. Mine is a room in the roof house so on the most part it's 140 high density rock wool with 50 PIR underneath. On the flat roof section 400mm Rockwool.

You will have to wait on the report to find out if the cracks extend to the inside. It might be a case of I want ££££ of the asking price to fix this Bodge job or you simply walk away.

Less than 3!!!. I had to compose myself first before editing it.

Not long

As always we are watching and waiting!!!!

Use your knuckle and tap on the ceiling where you want the hatch. If it's just plasterboard it will sound hollow. If your on a joist it will sound solid. Then do as above.

They average £280 per tonne. Been as low as £240 recently and as high as £340. They fluctuate to keep track of oil prices.

Ok so I use wood pellets and going by Google they produce 4.9kwh of heat per kg. I average around 1200 kg of pellets a year and my house is 220sqm. So this gives me 26.7 kWh per M2. This is for heating and dhw needs for a family of 5. My electric usage each year is covered by my PV system. Last year my bill was £589 but I got £636 back so not sure how to add that to the total.

But what do the 11,5,12 stand for.

How do you work it out??

This rebranding has nothing to do with Grenfell. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/campaign-of-terror-70-acts-of-vandalism-and-violence-on-quinn-group-firms-1.4079636%3fmode=amp

It's been a few years from Sean Quinn lost control of his company and a lot of unsavoury incidents have occurred to try and force the new owners out. I'm surprised that it's taken this long to change names.

So set the thermostat to 30 and leave it on. It will never get your room that hot so according to your research won't make this noise overnight. I couldn't be arsed looking back over this complete topic but I'm pretty sure running this either all the time or all night long was discussed fairly early in the conversation. You could have saved yourself lots of unnecessary stress and maybe slept a few nights and maybe had a lukewarm house.

Right guys it's not let's all line up and take shots at another member time esp when he's not here to answer back.
-
Why are you already prejudging the guys who could possibly fix your issues. Stay calm and have all the issues on paper so you don't get in a tizxy and forget something. Don't forget this is a government scheme so there are higher avenues to go to if needed.

Your going to need to get the base correct first so do you happen to know the depth of the peat. This will play a massive part in the type of base you can put in. If it's within 2/3m you could dig it out and trench fill with concrete. Anything deeper and your looking at some kind of pile. Could be a driven pile or screw pile. After the base is in then your just constructing a basic shed in 2 halfs. How big the joists need to be will depend on the span. For the walls 4*2 filled with insulation plus OSB, membrane and whatever you intend to use as the outside layer, cedar/shiplap etc. The size of the roof timbers will also depend on the span.

But you haven't tried to run it all day so it might make the loud noise or it might not. Another option to try. If it does work great if not then that's another thing to add to the list of attempts. If they ask on Fri about it then you can say tried it and it still didn't get the house warm enough plus the noise occurred at X pm and y am.
