  2. I used inline fans in our previous build Clear a shower of steam in seconds You can hardly hear them when sited above the bathroom ceiling

You would be better off going with your first thought Send the drawings out Find.a contractor or contractors that seem ok with references to back this up They will have a standard contract that they use Payment schedule etc Then start going through the fine detail from the foundations to the roof Then modify the contract to suit you both Any decent contractor will sit down and do this with you
  9. We’ve wet UFH on the GF Five bed Solid build and have never used the first floor rads We building a larger house UFH to GF My wife didn’t want to add any rads this time Our bedrooms are usually within 1 degree of the GF I’d seriously look at your insulation levels

  13. Our son vinyl raps cars as part of his business and decided to rap his kitchen doors and end panels Looks very impressive There must be others out there doing it
  14. Yes most tiles are bedded on 10-15 of adhesive
  15. Tile adhesive is perfect for setting shower trays Put a bed on the floor and on the back of the tray and level up once set it will never move

  24. The last of the electricity quotes came back today £5700 £9200 and a whopping £25000 Apparently they need to dig 50 meters of road up even though we have a post directly in front of the plot

We where recently held up on a job Materials left outside three houses for over a week The roofer normally fill the top of the party walls with a fire break then tile in The bricklayers had inadvertently set the wallplate a course low which left a 100 mill gap for fire to spread Three different inspectors insisted the scaffolding needed to go back up Tiles and membrane off In the end they stuffed the void with rockwool from inside the loft If it was any of us 100% the roof would of had to come off Definitely a case of the tail wagging the dog
