We are about to book a phone line connection We are having to go with an overhead cable It seems that whichever company we decide to use Openreach carry out all the physical work We have always been with BT for internet Does anyone know of any offers
-
I was given pretty much the same instruction as you Shortest route ours is built into a 3.5 mtr wall I was instructed anywhere on this wall But 600 minimum away from either corner Not a lot of choice really

They are quite correct Internal steels are fine primed But if you have a steel that has any part of it exsposed to the elements The whole thing needs to be hot dipped ie a steel that supports the internal skin but has a a plate welded to the underside Even though you may only have the edge of the plate exsposed to the elements

I’d no exsperience of treatment plants or Ceptic tanks My friend nearly choked on his drink when I mentioned pea gravel His exact words were ‘It will pop like a cork without concrete Very easy to fit though Though the tank ended up 400 mill to low So we purchased a neck extension Five minute five £100 extra
-
Forgot to say The suplyer Told us that it would be ok in pea gravel A friend who has installed tanks for year Said no chance sit it in 2 mtrs of concrete and fill it up and back fill
-
We have Clearwater We also installed a new septic tank into next doors Hardly any difference in the installation
-
Your kidding Masked all the windows and floors still gets everywhere

We are doing all ours white for now Most of the sites tend finish the ceilings in white and mist coat the walls in white Then go along afterwards with a roller for the walls Certainly quicker than a roller and a neater finish
-
Shop around for quotes for hot dipping They nearly all send them away and will often charge more to send the steel off than the actual steel I found a company that makes railings and lifting gear that sends off 90% of there steel for dipping So only charged an extra 20%
-
We hired a spray machine today £80 for the week Ehat a machine Five bedrooms sprayed to a lovely finish It took a bit of time priming the machine and getting used to it
-
If any part of the steel is exsposed to the elements BC will insist on hot dipped galvanised

You will always need a 5 mil base coat on most surfaces other than concrete blocks

I normally tell custermers If it’s to hard to knock off it’s ok to go over it But that’s useally when the top coat has shelled off leaving a rock hard base coat In any case you will need a scratch coat with reinforced fibre mesh troweled into it To stop the same thing happening again and to help cope with the suction I suspect that the galvanised beads are the culprits They are real water magnets The was a spell when mainstream builders were allowing them to be used I rendered a house thirty five years ago near were we live I didn’t use any beads Looks as sharp as the day it was done
