Matches what you’ve got in the other pockets though surely?

Got mine from Toolstation. Death by mail order ... ? ?

It's ok - he felt right at home in mine, plus most of the stuff in there was the pits!

Bloody hell, you'd better not take 8 years putting that lot back together when the time comes!

Found this in the Daikin financial report too: In the Heating business, sales grew from higher demand for heat pump hot water heating systems due to stricter environmental regulations in France and Italy.

Had a similar thing here. Sounded like a scratching herd of elephants above the services room ceiling (was likely a single mouse ?). Made a hole in said ceiling and chucked a bag of poison up there. All quiet on the Western Front now. Can't be dealing with dead things in traps so poison it is. No smell either thank God so it must have taken itself off to die somewhere else.

Anyone ever used UPWORK for Architect/Structural Engineer
newhome replied to Patrick's topic in Surveyors & Architects
Yep, that’s true. I tend to think of most TF being supply packages -
So a while ago, during the 20% off Sunamp promotion a guy I work with ordered a Sunamp and ASHP. He had a site visit earlier in the week (having chased them up) but they have told him that due to some change in French law whereby gas and oil heating systems are now hugely taxed everyone is installing ASHPs so there is a massive shortage of the one they fit (Daikin Bi-bloc). They’ve said it could be Feb before they can get one. Sound feasible?

Nope, but if you are going timber frame those might be included. Mine were. -
Would have been a company vehicle tho so only taxpayers would pay for it ultimately. I would have had those same bad thoughts however! ?

Ha ha! Just thinking how I would react in that scenario. If someone said the stat was too difficult to understand I likely would have a look at the manual, but if @Nickfromwales or @PeterW had said ‘don’t touch that as it’ll blow the system’ I would (probably ?) leave it be. My OH used to always say ‘you won’t understand that’ when I used to ask about stuff and given that I wasn’t overly interested I used to leave him to it. Don’t have a choice now though so have to understand a bit more and even if I can’t physically do the job I’ve learned that people try it on a bit less if you demonstrate you have a little knowledge.

Help with kitchen renovation/ 1st house.

Snapper traps and poison! And look for where he is getting in or all his rellies will soon follow! -
So you need to be economical with the truth and tell the Mrs that cranking up the temp will blow the ASHP board again so leave it be unless you are there to ‘adjust’ the ASHP when needed to compensate ?. If she turns it up when you’re not around turn the heating off and say that it shorted out but luckily she hasn’t blown the board on that occasion but not to do it again. Who ever said women were devious ... ??

Looks much lighter than before. The wood worktop is tons better than the old dark tiled affair, and I bet all your efforts have stopped the draughts that must have been around the windows and that mouse sized hole where the waste pipe went out of the wall. Quite apart from stopping Mickey from coming and going as he pleased. -
Wonder how they found it? ?

Well you didn’t name them so none of us know who they are. You could ask a mod to hide the thread at least temporarily if you want?

Looks good! Bet you’re glad that’s over and done with now. Just the below worktop stuff to do now plus I reckon you should make a strong low cupboard to stand that fridge freezer on. -

Others have certainly been successful in getting site investigation work zero rated as long as it is ‘doing’ work (as opposed to a survey or a desk exercise) and as long as planning permission is already granted for a new build. Definitely worth a punt.

That's what he calls @PeterW so must be a term of endearment ..!!
-
@pocster ask the builder who he is sending in to sign it off as the installer is not qualified to self certify.
