  1. One English pound. https://www.poundland.co.uk/399087-ultrabrite-bc-5-5w-led-round-1-pack/
  2. Why, probably only a few changes to get it up, swap out some nice to have for better to haves.
  3. And probably everyone else near him. Is he sleeping rough these days.
  4. Is that Buffalo Bill, spreader of syphilis thoughout the native Americans? Anything from a Hooters would do me.
  5. Knock them down and build better houses. (had a listed place once, never again) Be thankful that you don't have @joe90 as a neighbour. He bankrupted his neighbour, by sticking to the rules.
  6. Offer to buy it, then you have control. Or move.
  7. I just have a life outside of a self imposed bunker. When did you last see daylight?
  8. Hole in my shoe. The Police did a song called A Hole in my Life. Totally changed the mean if you change life to wife. @zoothorn Just heat the place up to 20°C. The simple solutions are the eady ones.
  9. Reminds me of the interview with the CEO of Coca Cola. He was asked about the 'secret recipe'. His reply was 'there isn't one, I will show you now what goes into it'. He then went on to explain the purchasing, manufacturing, marketing, sales, distribution, waste disposal etc involved in a global product. Then asked the journalist if he still thinks Coca Cola is just about the recipe.
  10. Will tell you what you are using and when, then you can see what you are also wasting. Over the years I have got my usage down from 11 MWh/year to close to 3 MWh/year, with very little investment. Even when there was two of us here, the usage was not that high ~4 MWh/year.
  11. Constant monitoring of environmental conditions is probably the most useful thing that you can use electronics for. It does amaze me how many people on here talk about spending £1000+ on home automation, but don't have decent energy and temperature monitoring which can be fitted for £30. The usual argument against is that CT clamps don't show true power. Well your car fuel gauge does not show an accurate amount, but your happy to trust it enough to get you home.
  12. I only got 0.000015p per view. Had to do it for hours, and hours.
  13. When I suggested that at home, she left, muttering something about being live streamed on the internet.
  14. Probably all true. Hunt about for something cheaper, fir it and see how it goes. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393241969134
  15. Lots of ways to unlock this one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Simpled-Weatherproof-Fingerprint-Electronic-Touchscreen/dp/B09N97GZSW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa
  16. A few years ago, @DamonHD sent me some data from classrooms. There was a very good correlation between RH and CO2 levels and classroom occupancy. RH may be of more importance for comfort than CO2, people are quite susceptible to bringing outside of an optimal RH window. Fungi are also very susceptible to RH levels, too many of the wrong fungal spores and all sorts of health issues can manifest themselves. I am not sure what the upper health limit is for CO2 concentration, probably quite high (I think our @Ed Davies did some work on this), I doubt many homes would get close to it. Monitoring and controlling RH and temperature would probably have a greater impact on comfort levels than CO2 and temperature, but in reality, in the UK, the 3 go together. Very different for other climate regimes and lifestyles.
  17. Ummm "Reduce the risk of airborne viruses being spread and give your people true peace of mind - give them an Air Quality Guardian." Extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence.
  18. But will you spear it your bottom.
  19. No it don't, it is kWh you pay for.
  20. That will be the beer then. Was told they scrape the secret ingredient off the pit lane at BH.
  21. I want to be mental, can then get away with shouting obscenities at strangers. Or is that just drunk.
  22. May help, even if it is Scotch.6.B+-+Worked+examples+of+U-value+calculations+using+the+combined+method++.pdf
  23. It is about 16 kWh of storage, so at 30 kW input, half an hour seems reasonable (add a bit as the hotter the cylinder is the greater the losses and the harder it gets to raise it an extra degree. So something seems wrong.
  24. Here is my external RH profile so far this year, it will only have more damp from now on. I don't use anything other than natural ventilation. I doubt your RH profile is any worse than mine. So not proven at all.
  25. Good. Now you can listen to advice, you have two ears and one mouth, use them in that preportion. I have, and I have made suggestions to cure it. What other allergies do you have?
