Make a change from Stargazy Pie and Saffron Buns. I have done Jury Service on a sexual offence charge (and a theft/assault charge as well). The opinions of the gobby juriers is unbelievable and the evidence presented to them is of no consequence, even when they are direct to deliver a not guilty verdict. It was one of the worse 2 weeks of my life and an innocent person was found guilty. I was so upset that as I walked back to my car I was in tears from anger, frustration and injustice. I felt I should have done more along with the other two people that were working to the evidence, one of which changed their mind without an explanation (they got paid the same to sit in the courts as they did cutting up bacon at work).

It takes a higher temperature, or a larger 'ring' to get the same energy though the pan and into the water/fat. -

Cheap ones perform just the same as expensive ones. -

My cheap pan is a bit warped, but does not affect it. Cast Iron 52 W.m-1.K-1 SS (316) 16.2 W.m-1.K-1 So not surprising it needs more energy. -
If you don't mind a bit of noise, how about plinth heaters.

Does the right really reduce taxes, not worked in the UK.

I have a bottle of methylated spirit for the same reasons.

I am all for that. We can charge you more for things that are southern based. So TV and radio broadcasts, proper beer, fresh vegetables etc. Who needs a universal service. Let's carve the nation up and say '(expletive deleted) you' to the neighbours.

Ground array: future project, what cables

I think there are restrictions at the local levels as well. Thing is, no matter how much is invested, it cannot be changed overnight.

Zero to Hero as I was wanker of the week a few days ago.

At least. And for deaf people I sign, which oddly enough, in BSL has regionality. Down South you point with index and middle fingers towards the floor, while mouthing 'dog' silently. Up North you just tap your leg, while mouthing. Korea, you sign FP for frying pan.

Cheap or expensive induction hob saucepans

It is a hob, not an objet d'art, they are meant to have scratches. -
I never used to think much to nails, mainly because I am a clumsy (expletive deleted)er and and kept bashing my fingers. But then I learnt about them and they are fantastic fixings for timber. It is odd that your BCO does not trust the SEs calculations, even odder that builders, old school or no, think they can override the SE design.

They for for extracting the best performance out of a shading compromised array. Actually, they were for installers to make a few extra quid in most installations. -

I think there may be a bit in that, though I would have thought at all SS induction hobs are made from very similar material. I have a cheap frying pan what is aluminium (cam from Aldi) and that has 'pins' in the base, it works very well. My kitchen was a lot colder. I gave it a few minutes for the temperatures to settle and I did not want the hob pulsing, which it would do on power2. -
I went to one of those, well two. Look what a fine person I have turned out to be.

There was a radio program about PR people and journalists. Very interesting. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001y9pt

A while back (I don't like to rush things) I got into a debate (spat if you like) about cheap lightweight saucepans on induction hobs. My view is that they are fine, no need to go for "heavy bottoms': learning to cook makes the difference, not the pan. So today, after reading a science article about just this very point, I thought I would look at the thermal distribution on my cheap pan and my expensive pan. Well as far as I am concerned there is not enough variation to make any difference. Here is the video. Cheap saucepan on the left.

I think we may be at cross purposes. I was not calculating the P/A ratio, just the thermal losses in a first order simplified manner.

Yes, I have just realised I mistypes and was about to go and edit it. Fixed now, it works out as a total floor area of 83.6m2 because the periphery area is 3.6m2. (10m + 10m + 8m + 8m) x 0.1m = 36m * 0.1m = 3.6m
