Onoff Posted December 31, 2018 Author Posted December 31, 2018 More luck than judgement but it looks like the tiles will line up! Didn't expect that!
Onoff Posted December 31, 2018 Author Posted December 31, 2018 That's enough for 2018: (Waiting for foam to expand... )
PeterW Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Looks on plan to be finished by 2021 as you predicted ....!
Nickfromwales Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 T'was only yesterday we were discussing the making of the electric wackaplate Looking good, and not that far to go 2019 is the deadline.
ProDave Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 It was probably mentioned on page 22, but how will you get under that bath now if you need to?

Side access: End access: Push comes to shove the "room" side of the bath surround can separate if I break two tiles and split the tanking tape (the darker blue patch).

Onoff Posted January 2, 2019 Author Posted January 2, 2019 Probably should have done the other way around... Second time lucky! 2

Onoff Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Seriously...like meconium in a tube! Bloody expensive way to tile though...
Onoff Posted January 4, 2019 Author Posted January 4, 2019 That's them all nailed down. Couple of oversize joints but hey ho! "Proper" tiling can recommence! 2
Onoff Posted January 5, 2019 Author Posted January 5, 2019 @Nickfromwales, I'm applying "your" method here that I used in the pockets. Laser line with the tiles upside down to mark them. Set on the yellow 1mm shims. Once stuck on do I: Clear CT1 to be run into the 1mm gap then a white silicone bead OR Grout along with everything else then the silicone bead? Cheers
Nickfromwales Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Fill the bath with water and grout. Leave it full until the grout has cured then empty it. Wipe all the grout dust off, and give the lot a good polish. Get your silicone gun out and do all the internal angles until your happy. Bingo chuffing Bango. ?? 1 1
Pocster Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 As @Onoff you near the end of your biblical quest - what mountain will you climb next ?
