  1. Whatever the adhesive manufacturer recommends ..? They say Uniprim which you may struggle to find but looks remarkably like the Mapei Primer-G available in most areas.
  2. Yes correct. What primer have you got for the wooden floor ..?
  3. Thought the glazing did that for you anyway ....?? But yes, if it doesn’t have a potable water supply it cannot be deemed a rateable hereditement according to the Rating Act ...
  4. You can back to back them between walls - seen that done a few times. They have to be placed correctly but it’s not an issue.
  5. Have ordered a couple of tester sachets to see how it goes.
  6. 100 litre buffer will be fine - don’t bother with a coil, just make sure there is a mag filter on the way back to the boiler.
  7. Is this the split or the monoblock unit ..?
  8. Thanks @Russell griffiths that’s worth knowing. I was looking at doing a big shed roof in it which is about 12sqm plus some bits so that comes in about the same price as GRP and much less weather dependent. And I’ll give you a tenner for the left over thickener so it’s £270 for the whole job .. ?
  9. Heat source ..? Buffer ..? Minimum 22mm, depending on the other items you may need 28mm
  10. Anyone used it..? Got any real life photos of what it looks like finished ..?? Thinking of using it on some dark stone but would like to hear if anyone has tried it. https://osmouk.com/product/concrete-oil/
  11. Thanks - what was the cost in the end ..? Only thing that put me off was they only sell thickener for a 25Kg tin not the 6kg and that’s enough to do about 15sqm
  12. Did you use the membrane / reinforcing too or just the Desmopol on its own ..? Any vertical detailing as that’s always my query with these sort of products
  13. Yeh 10 years at least https://www.online-cables.co.uk
  14. So do Online Cables - they do SWA in all the colour choices.
  15. Err.. outlet has to be 7m, not the tank or inlet...! But they say the tank has to be 3m from the boundary when installed but as you own all the land it becomes irrelevant.
  16. I’d put the rank where the green circle is, leach field under the field with an easement written up for replacement in the future, or do a linear field.
  17. Yes - max 12kW on a UVC if it is fitted with a pair of 6kW immersions but unlikely as they only get put in very big UVCs. You can also load shift to overnight to reduce the chance of overloading the CU. Also can put big immersions onto their own CU if needed (sometimes done with E10 time switches) Electric showers are disposable cost wise but they are what people expect in cheap rentals.
  18. That’s correct - well, partially .... a lantern shouldn’t have a fall, but the roof around it should ..!! And those tiles are too low - should be further up so looks like they haven’t done the bottom properly either. Tiles shouldn’t rest on the membrane.
  19. E7 meter ..?? Run it overnight ..?? Do a big chunk of heat at low cost, same with the hot water tank.
  20. Ok so how much of the “square” is the barn and how much is the garden ..? As in, how much outside have you got in front of the barn..? The tank can go on your land, the council cannot stop you putting a drainage field under agricultural land, it happens all the time, is not visible and does not amount to works requring planning permission.
  21. I’d run the pipe work the opposite way, and come straight under the slab out the front and do an IC then the tank another 5-6m down. Easy access for the tanker from the track and no messing about.
  22. How come ..?? If it’s below / behind cabinets does it matter ..?? And you can work round pipe work, this should really be sorted properly not compromised. There are appliance end adapters but you need to make sure you get a decent water seal with a washing machine - in-line u-traps aren’t the best but they can work. https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-wmf3-straight-nozzle-1-white-45mm/5689P Fits into a compression straight connector Could do something like a HepVO or a MacV with a straight adapter but I’d want it accessible. https://www.toolstation.com/mcalpine-macvalve-2-self-closing-valve/p49408
  23. By 30m down the bull do you mean down your drive ..?? Or in the blue square ..??
  24. @tillywiz does this all run off the 4th side ..?? Difficult to see the layout from these photos. You can do rubber with 1m wide rolls but it needs to be done with the correct laps and only on a roof with a fall otherwise the joints collect water. Have you got any photos of it being done..?
  25. Tankers round me have 30m pipes - don’t need to park close. A 55m run is a long run - even at 1:80 you’re talking about starting at 450mm invert and ending 1.15m. How deep are you planning the tank ..?? stick some plans up and we may be able to give you options.
