Hmmmmm from memory I had to do some thing similar. My L bars were tied to the frame so poked up through the slab . Then my stepoc ( like icf ) went over it . I then tied all the steel up through each layer . 1 pour with pump on long arm and it was done .

Right ! Have decided mvhr vents will be through the roof - much simpler as i’ll Get someone else to do it ? Still can’t work out how to board this and have good access to mvhr unit and header tank . Assume placing the tank specifically over the wall stud as it gets more support . Guess I just go for it and see what happens .

I always think ( tricky if you are isolated ) that if your home looks secure I.e modern glazing and doors , sturdy fence that must be a deterrent. If I were a burglar I would choose the ‘weakest’ house .... But I’m not a burglar . I’d rather catch them and administer justice - because that is ‘fair’

Or use 940nm lighting ir leds No visible red glow but range less . Depends if you want to deter or catch !

Not sure i’d Worry about 4K . Your problem will be viewing remotely at 1fps ? i prefer ‘medium’ res 1024 x 800 or similar at 4 FPS

SE’s over spec by about 350% !!! . Mine told me this - then I got him to drop the spec ( probably still 200% of what’s needed )

I do genuinely feel your pain . I got ripped off i.e poor job on my critical flat roof .Had to get it re done . Hang on in there - it is worth it !

Yeah I guess if access is tricky then a z wave window is good . I recommend indigo on a Mac to control everything.

Know the feeling ! For the structural steel I insisted the company come out and measure . Most weren’t interested in the trip even if relatively local . So I offered one £100 for a site visit . They came out , measured and supplied the steel . Best £100 i’ve spent... Especially if your build doesn’t match the drawings to the mm ...

I’m going to pretty much automate everything and I could see very little reason to do this with window opening and closing .
