  1. Can I ask @Nickfromwales out of interest ; why attenuate at outlet not source ? . What’s the issue ? Or is it just bad practice?
  2. Ah ! So I have mid understood ! I assumed quite naturally they could do both I.e that was their function . Well attenuation at a outlet shouldn’t be an issue . For now i’ll Just stick ‘em all full on once ready for take off ! Boom ! - bet @Onoff took 6 months to do that bit ????
  3. I’ll do the hot one tomorrow- too much excitement for one day !
  4. Really ? They generate that much noise if not fully open or fully closed ? . That was one of my reasons for choosing these nice expensive brass manifolds - thinking I could be clever and control flow ?
  5. Well it ain’t pretty but timber allows a Hep2o clip per pipe . Going under the render board ‘lines’ the pipe up to run across the ceiling . Not sure how good this will be really . Need to run a ‘ real’ pipe and see ...
  6. Actually I could ‘throttle’ the outside tap ( planned to do this on toilets anyway ) by adjusting the isolator value to restrict flow .
  7. Didn’t think of that . Outside tap will hardly ever be used so i’ll Let it go ?
  8. Labelling to my hearts content !
  9. Just done my 16 vertical holes . Ordered washing machine waste to act as conduit . Just making up the manifold . Photos later
  10. Not sure where someone like you would pick up such ‘tricks’ . 4 25mm holes drilled . 16 to go
  11. Yep I checked this as it was an option for me . Vertical or horizontal no issue .
  12. I am aren’t I !!
  13. Will have a suspended ceiling .
  14. Googling seems to range from 16mm to 20mm . If that’s correct would be good !
  15. What’s the diameter of a dishwasher waste pipe ? . Just bought a 25mm drill bit - so if it fits in that ( and Hep2o in dishwasher pipe ) then perfect !
  16. Not sure. Ordered a few 'cold bends' to see. Sure they will come in useful somewhere!
  17. I could. But I've got about 20 pipes to get through this wall. Thought it would be easier going vertical through the wall then up. Also I can line up each pipe to the manifold so it runs horizontal into it. I'll attempt a "1st go" tomorrow and post pics. I'm guessing as I have a false ceiling the pipe might 'naturally' curved ok at that point.
  18. Please. Will the scale model take 4 years also? ?
  19. From my other thread...
  20. Yeah - that’s why I was making the hole larger so perhaps I can put some kind of sleeve around it .
  21. Yeah I guess so . Still a tight turn at the ceiling - but a good point !
  22. Erk no ! Got a geberit pan going on the end wall already . i’ll just do a 1000 x 1000 or similar door’d Cubicle for the shower .
  23. Ok . Got some 15mm Hep2o tested its ‘bendability ‘ - kinks quite easy . I need to get it through a 200mm solid wall - bend to run up it the bend at the ceiling . I see these ‘cold formers’ would that do what I need ? ( 1 at each bend ) . Desperately trying to avoid any joints . Plan was maybe to drill a 20mm hole through wall so 15mm Hep2o has wiggle room . Perhaps that former goes half in the wall ??
  24. Sorry ; not drawn in the bath - this is on the wall opposite the sink . Easiest option is a cubicle . What I do want then is as minimalist as possible .
  25. Would of told him to F off ages ago . Builders hate it when you remind them YOU are the boss .
