  1. ?
  2. Yes - the problem is the nut on the Hep2o fitting - that’s needs filing
  3. Yeah I know the nut needs to come off . It just stays there for now so it doesn’t get lost - even though I shouldn’t need it
  4. That’s what I reckon . Everyone else has a mate with a lathe . I have no friends ? and therefore no access to a lathe ?
  5. There never was a supplied connector - you simply got f all with it ?
  6. That would hurt too much
  7. Shows the issue better . I suppose in theory I could angle grind the bsp nut - but what a pita !
  8. AH! Bum !! So near ! The problem is the bsp fitting on the Hep2o won’t fit in the shroud . The shroud this end has an internal lip probably only 1mm but enough to stop it going in ?
  9. Finished tiling the ‘feature’ wall
  10. Well we have 3 methods then 1) Nick method ( cheat ! ? ) 2) Onoff method - scale models you ignore 3) Pocster method . Swell those tessties and accept the mammoth task !
  11. “Competent” is the key word there . Gone past the point of no return . No more photos of the recesses until I can make them look nice .
  12. Precisely! You confirm my belief ?
  13. Realised 10mm x 10mm edging won’t work as tile is 8mm thick so only 2mm play . Changed my order back to 20mm x 20mm . Looking at my ‘arrangement’ to plan it so it lined up exactly on tile boundaries would still be a job as my tiles run vertically - making it not nice .
  14. I know , I know . Simply by knowing the tile sizes , recess size and adjusting stud to suit you can mitigate lots of Trickiness ! The problem on a first time self build you don’t know what you should of planned until you get to that point . Some things I have planned and I think how clever I am when it all comes together . Other times ???? So in a way I am a better tiler than @Nickfromwales as I have to deal with more difficult situations, he just takes the easy route by planning ?
  15. Looking at this again ; it’s a bit of a cheat ! The recess is positioned exactly to line up with the tiles so no cuts ! . Only way I could see to do this would be to tile AND build the stud ‘around’ it - I.e to suit . This what you did Uncle Nick ?
  16. Bit shoddy - I can meet that
  17. Speak for yourself ! ?
  18. Ordered! - Now no one will see badness!
  19. YES! 10mm x 10mm https://www.premiumtiletrim.co.uk/product/genesis-polished-chrome-aluminium-self-adhesive-edge-protector-2-5m-eaa100-91 Don't need 20mm my f' up's aren't that big ?
  20. It's 20mm on each face though. A wee bit chunky. 10mm would be better....
  21. Now this is exactly what I was thinking - just needed some other half wit to say the same which in turn convinces me. Great minds think alike - or in our case non great minds think alike!
  22. I always thought you're not meant to have tile edges exposed. Also in the bathroom it IS to hide sins....
  23. Yeah - but I have edging trim in the ensuite anyway. Got to have some 'edge' if not to hide poor cuts but to protect the tile edges.
  24. I reckon this https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/genesis-polished-chrome-aluminium-self-adhesive-edge-protector-2-6m-eaa206-91 Mitre the corners - hides all the sins. What does anyone else think?
  25. Hmmmmm T profile for flooring might have a 'bow' in it. What about a corner protector piece ? https://www.protilertools.co.uk/categories/tile-trim/edge-corner-protection
