  1. Looking at this again ; it’s a bit of a cheat ! The recess is positioned exactly to line up with the tiles so no cuts ! . Only way I could see to do this would be to tile AND build the stud ‘around’ it - I.e to suit . This what you did Uncle Nick ?
  2. Bit shoddy - I can meet that
  3. Speak for yourself ! ?
  4. Ordered! - Now no one will see badness!
  5. YES! 10mm x 10mm https://www.premiumtiletrim.co.uk/product/genesis-polished-chrome-aluminium-self-adhesive-edge-protector-2-5m-eaa100-91 Don't need 20mm my f' up's aren't that big ?
  6. It's 20mm on each face though. A wee bit chunky. 10mm would be better....
  7. Now this is exactly what I was thinking - just needed some other half wit to say the same which in turn convinces me. Great minds think alike - or in our case non great minds think alike!
  8. I always thought you're not meant to have tile edges exposed. Also in the bathroom it IS to hide sins....
  9. Yeah - but I have edging trim in the ensuite anyway. Got to have some 'edge' if not to hide poor cuts but to protect the tile edges.
  10. I reckon this https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/genesis-polished-chrome-aluminium-self-adhesive-edge-protector-2-6m-eaa206-91 Mitre the corners - hides all the sins. What does anyone else think?
  11. Hmmmmm T profile for flooring might have a 'bow' in it. What about a corner protector piece ? https://www.protilertools.co.uk/categories/tile-trim/edge-corner-protection
  12. I think this would do it - have to mitre the corners though.... https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/brushed-stainless-steel-floor-dividing-strip-tfe?gclid=CjwKCAiAv4n9BRA9EiwA30WND59ZLF_pvxd-A1LUp9N0z7gQ9o5wK9hSTSetPM5RalxMnD1MCI5_zhoCdbMQAvD_BwE
  13. Who needs mm skills on bits you never see . Apart from you of course - cutting circle around pan etc . F ‘ that - here’s a sensible bad boy approach
  14. @Onoff - here around the recessed mirror - rough as f . Why ? because mirror has a nice 10mm lip . Nice profile hides poor workmanship- isn’t that why it was invented ? ???
  15. Some of those cuts are dogs . So getting everything to line up just not going to happen . Also the recess boxes appear not to be as accurate as perhaps I would hope . Hence why a tile bead profile that covers the edges solves all the problems . This one in the ensuite took ages to get right with a dremel !!!
  16. Maybe this type of thing ? https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/genesis-aluminium-formable-tile-in-stair-nosing-nfa-2-6m-length--multiple-choice-of-colour--?gclid=CjwKCAiAv4n9BRA9EiwA30WND4KYlQXFyk8NXyLr6ic8G0Kw-LFlSSO_UP5gJbYElYs-pj1OwbD7thoCJQUQAvD_BwE Need nice pre made corners so no mitre cuts ...
  17. Struggling today ! First a snapped tile . ?? These recesses are a real pain ! I’ve done the tile cuts around them rough - so either spend hours dremelling them straight or much easier would be to find tile profile with a lip - so it ‘over hangs’ the tile edges - would make life much simpler !!
  18. Sorry to add to the confusion. The company that did my sap replied "Yes, providing you can supply all the information and the Air Pressure test passes then yes I can issue the As Built SAP and EPC. "
  19. More and more .... Notice that though my wall was spirit level straight it is a bit out . So to keep tiles flat I simply beef up the adhesive behind them . Was worried about following a bendy wall ( max deviation about 5mm ) . , so don’t ?
  20. Yep ; nothing special there . Perimeter drain would catch anything at that join .
  21. Spoke to company that did the original sap test . If I get the air test done and it passes they will issue an epc . Assume this is good news . Then I won’t pass it onto bco until I’m ready to ‘finish’ ..
  22. Hope there’s more of a tip than last time
  23. Lol ! Grey grout already here ! How dare you sir ! How dare you suggest a cheat ! Not on my watch !!!
  24. Yes . These are MUCH better
  25. Doing ok today . Don’t like the gap between tile and ceiling . Sometimes just on the width of the tile ( 30cm ) the ceiling can be a good 5mm out - bloody plasterer ! . Assume there’s no shame in some simple white beading along the top to hide all this ...
