  1. Yeah I thought that. But that requires me holding the multi tool perfectly straight - which doesn't seem to come naturally ....
  2. Ok. - thought I tried that ; new saw aswell - I assume I want a saw with a really fine tooth blade ?
  3. Tried a few hacksaws etc on a mitre block . Cuts never really good enough . Is there a specific saw that does a perfect job on this ? ( ignoring my ability of course )
  4. Ummmmm , I think so ! Need to check original order to be certain.
  5. For reasons I now remember! Toilet flush plate a little to recessed ! . Don’t have any geberit flush plate buttons to hand but assume I can extend the presumably plastic plunger . Reason this is so recessed is I had problems getting the waste in as right next to concrete lintel on one side and ufh in screed on the other .
  6. Go (expletive deleted) one
  7. 50 quid says no
  8. @Hyside I think it was JCT 21.2.1 insurance. It was about 1K about 6 years ago. Only was valid I think for about 6 weeks. So allows for the dig out and then any 'issues' afterwards. It helped quell neighbours minds. I think from memory if there had been a problem at any property the excess was something like 12k per property!!!!!!!
  9. Literally any trade I need I get a recommendation from someone I know . I had a rubber flat roof done and it was sh*t off checkatrade or similar . I nearly knocked the guys teeth out at the “ quality “ of the work . It leaked instantly. I feel your pain
  10. I did it and I’m a fool ??
  11. Yeah - I meant get a guy to dig the hole unless you do have a digger handy - then build the rest . I got a guy with a 40 ton digger - not something I really want to do
  12. Just hire a guy with a digger to do the hole
  13. Welcome to my world ! Though SWMBO hasn’t left yet
  14. Do it yourself ! Man up ?????
  15. Uncle Nick aka @Nickfromwales - just keeping with the BAL range . Which one do I want for my floor tiles ? Mainly screed with some marine ply . Decoupling mat ontop . Expensive just to stick a tile down ! !
  16. Crumbs ! That stuff is even more expensive!
  17. Sure - let me dig that up - it was a while ago ...
  18. Think of all the goodies I could hide in there ......
  19. You need to be careful here . We are detached , but digging out a big hole puts the fear of God into your neighbors- no matter how near/far they are to your build . Although I arranged for the dig I still had to take out special I.e expensive insurance ,against any issues as its dug i.e neighbors house collapsing - because that’s likely to happen right ?
  20. Soon ( ish ) will start tiling the bathroom floor . Have a ditra decoupling mat ( but strangely no adhesive ) . On my order for the floor tiles it’s states “ porcelain tiles require a polymer modified adhesive “ I’ve been using this adhesive for walls - it doesn’t mention polymer modified anywhere in the blurb though the pack says “ porcel bond plus “ - so I assume that means it’s ok to use ?! Though this adhesive is expensive; it mixes well and bonds hard as rock .
  21. With diffuser
  22. Just been playing with my rgbw controller . Got everything working crudely - could do with a colour picker in the HA . But pretty , pretty ...
  23. 225kg you sure ?? ?
  24. Cut bits off her ! Make the package lighter ffs !
