I think this would do it - have to mitre the corners though.... https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/brushed-stainless-steel-floor-dividing-strip-tfe?gclid=CjwKCAiAv4n9BRA9EiwA30WND59ZLF_pvxd-A1LUp9N0z7gQ9o5wK9hSTSetPM5RalxMnD1MCI5_zhoCdbMQAvD_BwE

Who needs mm skills on bits you never see . Apart from you of course - cutting circle around pan etc . F ‘ that - here’s a sensible bad boy approach
-
@Onoff - here around the recessed mirror - rough as f . Why ? because mirror has a nice 10mm lip . Nice profile hides poor workmanship- isn’t that why it was invented ? ???
-
Some of those cuts are dogs . So getting everything to line up just not going to happen . Also the recess boxes appear not to be as accurate as perhaps I would hope . Hence why a tile bead profile that covers the edges solves all the problems . This one in the ensuite took ages to get right with a dremel !!!

Maybe this type of thing ? https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/genesis-aluminium-formable-tile-in-stair-nosing-nfa-2-6m-length--multiple-choice-of-colour--?gclid=CjwKCAiAv4n9BRA9EiwA30WND4KYlQXFyk8NXyLr6ic8G0Kw-LFlSSO_UP5gJbYElYs-pj1OwbD7thoCJQUQAvD_BwE Need nice pre made corners so no mitre cuts ...

Struggling today ! First a snapped tile . ?? These recesses are a real pain ! I’ve done the tile cuts around them rough - so either spend hours dremelling them straight or much easier would be to find tile profile with a lip - so it ‘over hangs’ the tile edges - would make life much simpler !!

EPC/SAP unfinished new build

Sorry to add to the confusion. The company that did my sap replied "Yes, providing you can supply all the information and the Air Pressure test passes then yes I can issue the As Built SAP and EPC. " -
More and more .... Notice that though my wall was spirit level straight it is a bit out . So to keep tiles flat I simply beef up the adhesive behind them . Was worried about following a bendy wall ( max deviation about 5mm ) . , so don’t ?
-
Yep ; nothing special there . Perimeter drain would catch anything at that join .

Spoke to company that did the original sap test . If I get the air test done and it passes they will issue an epc . Assume this is good news . Then I won’t pass it onto bco until I’m ready to ‘finish’ .. -
Hope there’s more of a tip than last time

Lol ! Grey grout already here ! How dare you sir ! How dare you suggest a cheat ! Not on my watch !!!
-
Yes . These are MUCH better
-
Doing ok today . Don’t like the gap between tile and ceiling . Sometimes just on the width of the tile ( 30cm ) the ceiling can be a good 5mm out - bloody plasterer ! . Assume there’s no shame in some simple white beading along the top to hide all this ...

Didn’t have any on site . But based on the wavin measurements should fit ! So ordered . Shroud o/e is 35mm . ?

I used the hollow concrete blocks . You lay dry , thread rebar in them - then do one mega pour at the end . It was high labour for me - but not particularly expensive.

It’s mental that the incentive is around the wrong way . If I’ve spent more and produced a more efficient house the reward should be more not less . I’ll double check that 2022 March - still better get my skates on ? -

Oh man ! These are not things I want ! . No time bombs . I’ll see what sap / mcs guy want in detail -
EPC/SAP unfinished new build
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
Thinking about this . What constitutes a ‘completed build’ ??? . Structure etc. Is complete so it’s epc rating wouldn’t be effected by anything I have yet to finish . Could I not get a new EPC as is ? I.e domestic visit ?? -
EPC/SAP unfinished new build
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
This is where I am confused as the mcs installer said there was a sap/epc lite - that could be used . I took this to mean the ‘off plan’ sap I have ...... -
EPC/SAP unfinished new build
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
Didn’t realise old sap and new sap were different. So as I’m not complete but I am ‘built’ what exactly does my mcs guy need to qualify the ASHP for rhi ? . Apart from change pellet boiler to ASHP of course . -
EPC/SAP unfinished new build
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
Right . So ...... I really just need my old SAP to be classed as ‘ as built ‘ . I’ve magically forgotten any improvements I have done . So technically I’m not altering my SAP ? Guess it depends on what proof sap company require to change it to ‘as built’ then the mcs guy will be happy . -
EPC/SAP unfinished new build
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
So if I go back to the firm that produced the original sap can they change it to “ as built “ ? Will they accept confirmation of ‘ as built’ from bco and/ or architect ? Also should I mention the changes ? I.e the improvements- or just ‘forget’ them ? -
EPC/SAP unfinished new build
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
But won’t that increase my epc rating which I don’t want ? Also to ‘prove’ any improvements he’d need to do a site visit . I don’t care what epc rating I get as I know the house in reality is higher than that - want maximum rhi though -
EPC/SAP unfinished new build
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
So I want a low score sap so rhi is more ? My old SAP puts us as a C .... Shall I just use this SAP for the ashp mcs accredited installer ?
