Fibaro switch wiring lack of knowledge!
Pocster replied to Pocster's topic in Networks, AV, Security & Automation
Bought a small relay . Wired this up and it works properly I.e as I would expect it to work . The software though leaves a lot to be desired - but I can work round those issues . So now I have a video doorbell using no cloud , no subscription and good luck to anyone who wants to hack it ! -
You tried my friend - that counts for something

Did a dummy setup with silver ct1 See how it looks tomorrow Actually might just be easier and look ok if grey grout goes in there ...
-
Decided to do the beading around the bathroom window . Fraction of a mm out shows up on the corner mitres . Will silver ct1 hide this good enough ??
-
SWMBO does cleaning ?? If I found a really small quadrant / curve that would be ok . But because it’s not flat when I get to the opening I’ll have an end showing

Yeah . Kind of things I was thinking of . Will get some 10 x 10 L trim and just sit it in there - see what it looks like .
-
Yeah fair enough . But I’m not going to scrape that lot out . Hardly get my hands in there . Still tempted to order 10x10mm L and just stick that along the Mastik joints .

It’s a collection of shapes For the edges I’m definitely go over the expensive bead with the corner protector .

I have a special delivery of this - I think @joe90 would appreciate it ?????????????????????????
-
yes - some eBay rubbish . Though as I said on nice easy access corners ( as Demo’d on the sink corner ) I was more than happy . Must admit - it’s ocd ; which I never had until I started tiling . Agree , once filled with female crap you won’t see the tiles let alone any silicone ?
-
Yeah . I should of just used internal trim to start with .... Really temped to just literally stick ‘L’ trim over it - hides it all
-
Mine never had any black inserts - that’s new to me . Even so it wouldn’t help with internal recess corners .
-
I think so. I bought a set of 4 - i.e. a variety of shapes. I'll bite th bullet and put some photo's up tomorrow. I've been over and re-siliconed it twice - but not having a nice flat vertical surface is a pain.
-
Yeah ; I see these NOW! - but the tiles are in!. TBH I could tile ontop the tiles AND then insert proper internal trim.
-
That’s not the problem . It’s getting a semi decent silicone line over an undulating pattern in an awkward area . Tempted to cut out the silicone and just grout it - that would be a pita ...
-
No ! Your tiles are puss easy as they are nice and smooth !
-
Yeah but is that helpful ! ?

Sigh! I'm struggling with the ensuite recesses . To silicone an easy access wall corner using fugi thingies no problem. To try and do the same in the recess is just to awkward - it looks a bit crap ( hence no photo ). Overall I'm not happy with the ensuite recess trim - wish I bought a recess you don't tile and just goes straight in! Anyway! I could use the mitre corner edges to cover the opening edges ( as I plan to use in the bathroom recesses ). But I'm struggling to find any 'trim' for all the recess internal joins. I suppose I could reverse the corner edge to make an 'L' on the inside. Not really sure......... Or of course I could not worry as no one will ever notice apart from me!!!. The issue is these bloody hex tiles. The surface undulates as they are textured so to get a nice straight mastic line is almost impossible... f ucking tiles - SWMBO's fault !
-
No,no,no @Onoff must tile it!. He is an expert tiler almost i.e. he needs more practice. Don't bail and take the wussy route man up. MEN TILE!

Big jobs are just millions of small jobs - that’s my excuse

I apologise deeply and unreservedly if my humour was offensive . I am indeed as you say just a worthless troll ?
