I read that thread. If the "primary function is a hob" then that's nonsense . It has 2 functions hob and extraction. They need to allocate a percentage to the hob for its primary function. I think they just make up crap to avoid handing back the VAT. I see a war brewing......

Hello Uncle Nick . But what about the 3m run horizontal then 3m up OR 2.5m up then horizontal for 3m then a 'nudge' up I thought these were the issues i.e. can't go vertical then horizontal into the soil. Reducing the bore to 22mm doesn't that put more 'strain' on the pump?

To get wc so waste straight up ( I.e be above soil ) would place it in the lounge ?

I can go straight up 2.5m . But I have to then run horizontally 3m . At that point I am *below* my soil pipe by around 60cm Not sure what @Nickfromwales is suggesting with his link . As the consensus is macerator output has to be near wc . Yet at that point I’m still not high enough to get to soil pipe ...

But how does that help Uncle Nick ? Soil pipe is 3m away horizontally and 3m vertically...

You are right! I stuck my phone over the drain on record then ran downstairs and ran the tap ! Works like a treat ! I guess I was expecting it to be like a ? macerator I.e run on for 4 or 5 seconds . It’s surprisingly quiet . My final question is can I run a washer outlet and dishwasher outlet into the same pipe before going into the macerator or should they each use a seperate macerator inlet ?

Well it’s all plumbed up . Ran the tap . Macerator runs for about half a second and stops . Are my pipe ‘angles’ the issue ??
