  1. Very old broom . Just stands in the corner rotting
  2. Stuck a Dewalt battery on it . Now it works much better
  3. Yeah I had to watch a few YouTube videos to work out how to use it .
  4. I think that’s usual for when the plasterer visits me
  5. I shall leave for him to complain at ?
  6. Assume the gap between the 2 boards I leave for the plasterer to sort rather than me balls it up ?
  7. I’m also hoping the Mars probe landing today can bring some timber back . Probably requires less paperwork than the ‘frictionless’ boarder we have . Might be quicker also !
  8. Oh dear ! I guessed it wasn’t just me but national . At least my walk on glazing will increase 10 fold in value as demand exceeds supply .
  9. Just spoke to my BM . No CLS timer and no idea when they’ll get some . Luckily before brexit they ordered many tons of the ‘round’ edged stuff - so went with that . If you’re going to need timber - best to get your order in .
  10. A few screw ‘misses’ but removed them ; otherwise plasterer will whine
  11. First almost whole sheet up . Will add noggins to ends . Cut it to short ! Typical , I always think things are longer than they actually are !!
  12. Nope. I let all the mistakes / changes /mess up's go. Then a few days ago I tried to open one of the small sliding doors. It's jammed solid. Nothing I can do to open it. I've sent a nice email as you can imagine. At the time I never though anything of the 12 month warranty - but that's really really crap i.e. they are out of the warranty period. Current quote from IQGlass is 390+vat to look at it and "maybe" fix it on site. All the little things I let go because the guy I was dealing with ( better not name him ) f everything up - he has since left the company.
  13. Apologies to admin. If you wish to delete I understand. AVOID IQGLASS
  14. BM said 12.5 . It’s on-site so using it ? For reference the water resistant pb on bathroom / ensuite ceiling is also 12.5
  15. Just means doing things like this to support the pb both ways
  16. Pb for ceiling is 12.5mm Collated screws 45mm Will support all ends !
  17. PT guys arrived . Oh well work will have to wait . After that it will be lunch time
  18. Yeah that’s what I thought . I’ll use more noggins and put the ceiling pb up first . Then at least the sloped pb will offer some support at the joint ( ceiling to slope ) . Probably over thinking it as it avoids doing the work ?
  19. I’m putting in noggins ready for the plasterboard ceiling . What should I do where sloped plasterboard meets horizontal ceiling ? A noggin at the top ( and bottom ) for the slope . Another noggin at the top for the ceiling ? . Just seems wasteful and awkward - or is it simply the way ?
  20. Nah shitbox Filton
  21. You bloody did ! No heating in the friggin bathroom !!
  22. You obviously purchased ‘ SWMBO lite ‘ ...
  23. I do most the cooking ! I am an excellent cook !
  24. Going to do that aswell . Remember I need some SWMBO kudos !
