  1. You said the same about my job
  2. I’m ok . But thanks for the mention
  3. I find telling neighbours to “ get (expletive deleted)ed “ shortens the conversation considerably
  4. That’s where you went wrong . (expletive deleted) ‘em and just put the application in . They are going to hate it and object anyway . They will hate you and not talk to you . They will get the enforcement council guy out on any whim . No one in the area will ever talk to you . welcome to my world - and I love it ! Winner , winner , chicken dinner
  5. Some scratches ‘repaired’ with the touch up paint ? I will tidy up the corners later ( can re align the beading ) . Probably get some custom ral squares made to stick over the corners and hide vertical to horizontal join .
  6. Cedral does scratch easily . Touch up paint doesn’t hide the scratch ( as dries to a different shade ) . Once up though ( and away from hands that can scratch it ) ; looks great . Easy to install horizontally; vertical more challenging. Also when cut the end exposed looks poor . So you might require lots of the nice matching beading / cornering which is of course expensive . Here’s mine at the rear of the property. I’ve not touched it in 2 years even to clean .
  7. Crane arriving Monday @joe90 I called hammertie - they said they had no product to suit my need . So I followed @Onoff ‘s advice and just ordered a black pen for car scratches - I’m sure that will do ( got an exact ral match )
  8. No , you need to have bought Dewalt really ???????
  9. @Nickfromwales and @Onoff the protagonists yet again . Should be banned imho ?
  10. 12 ? . I was doing this when I was 8
  11. Ok Gaylord ( that’s probably a banned thing to say ) ; buy the pink drill ( not a euphemism ) and pose with it you (expletive deleted) y (expletive deleted) (expletive deleted)
  12. Couldn’t agree with you more !!
  13. For you Makita boys https://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjLyZCiqsXzAhVjGQYAHfTwBfYYABADGgJ3cw&ae=2&sig=AOD64_1PUKHR12LQSQkOM8BbS8wK9m-YHg&adurl&ctype=5&ved=2ahUKEwiJ1IOiqsXzAhUXwoUKHTSPCDIQwg96BAgBEC8&dct=1
  14. Photo doesn’t really show them but lots of lite scratches . What’s the best way to ‘polish’ these out ?
  15. Yellow better than blue everyone knows that ?
  16. Nut side then
  17. Like brexit this thread
  18. If these type of things get you in the mood. Then split washers will really excite you https://engineerdog.com/2015/01/11/10-tricks-engineers-need-to-know-about-fasteners/
  19. Sounds stupid; and google seemed vague. If you have a nut and bolt and 1 washer - which side does it go on? ( yes you could buy more washers to solve the conundrum ). I would assume nut side - as that has more chance of moving? WTF don't they supply 2 washers!
  20. Sorry lol ! The soffit all knackered and old . Joists seem fine . Contradicting posts not helpful from me ?
  21. He reckoned no rot . Just probably the original soffit ….
