  1. They are blue ! Also from previous experience. If I buy the cheaper option and struggle everyone will say it’s my fault for buying cheap crap . If I buy the expensive option and I struggle then it’s just me being crap .
  2. And they are extreme !!! Which means they are really really good
  3. Found some of these . So will give them a try . Says “ specialist “ on them - I am certainly special !
  4. Have to look that up - but sounds fun; like a firearm - what could possible go wrong!
  5. Yeah I struggled with these. I will pre drill a hole and test I think
  6. Might want to even tile these returns - so assume glueing battons for tile backer board not really ideal....
  7. I'm going to have a suspended ceiling below these 2 steels. So somehow I need to fix plasterboard ( or something ) to them . How should I fix to the steel though?. I assume a timber batton is what I need. But I can't see drilling the steel to be fun ( also can only bolt from one side not the other ). Presumably there's a standard method to do this????
  8. Just an update. Openreach have decided they need to install "traffic management" for the installation of the fibre internet. I laughed. It's an unadopted highway and you can imagine I've had electric/water etc. chopping it up in the past with no issues ( apart from neighbours bitching of course ). Then BT told me maybe April!!!! FFS! I think was my response. I was then told since I had applied for install in Nov 21 I would get £5.14 (I think ) a day until the fibre is fully installed and functional. So I reckon 900 quid. Guess I'll manage with relatively slow 4G connection until then. Cannot wait to see the "traffic management" for what is just a very simple lane entrance. This alone will piss the neighbours off more much to my amusement. Photo's to follow in April!
  9. Pointless isn't that bad.
  10. So I'm also very special aswell.
  11. So does that mean I know (expletive deleted) all about (expletive deleted) all. So I know everything!

I’m still confused why you couldn’t just bed the flint in upright with cement . Just do a few rows a day and point it . Just like building a stone wall . What have I missed ??

  17. I did this. But when Virgin installed their cable through ducting they didn't do this. For 2 years no issue. Then for weeks I saw little patches of water on the floor but couldn't see any evidence of how it had entered the build. Then one day I hear the fateful "drip" - ran into the room with my torch and saw it. Water tracking along their internet line through narrow ducting. Let the rain stop. Then foam gunned as far in as I could. So far so good .
  18. Because a part of your appendage is the same length.
  19. Yep; if you are SE and have big debts no one wants to be your friend. I would use a recommended broker as there are ways to "work around this" - as a for example ;remortgage as a BTL . This may avoid some issues you are having but may indeed create others. It's all a bit of a game ...
