YES! It can be completely incompatible with everything else. Flakey, frequent crashes. Updates when it wants ,causing issues at every opportunity . Lock up until PayPal payment is made. Then years later decide on a new version which is incompatible with previous versions. It will be the beginning of a new era for mankind.

I think a "pocster" script must be developed to attempt to maintain services in my absence . I'll even get it to post on the forum. Be like, I never left. 100's of years from now I'll still be posting ( or my script will ) - perhaps someone will query the date I joined though....

Trying to have permanent access to a remote computer. Use to use TeamViewer but now you get about 3 minutes use before it kicks you out. Googled and can't get Chrome Remote Desktop to have a permanent link to a computer even with a pin. Currently have to TeamViewer into the remote, generate a "one time access code" in Chrome Remote desktop then enter that on the original PC. All a bit of a pain!. Anyone got this or something similar working?. Just want full screen share from a headless PC on my mac . No faff . Even looked for a hardware solution ( though not sure how that would work ) p.s. mac to mac was nice "screen share" and that was it!

Today SWMBO wanted to talk about the HA. Actually she didn’t want to talk about it but was more concerned in event of my death how would she sort out the audio streamer or light automation etc. Etc. This got my thinking . Perhaps I should have a “ I’m alive “ switch which I must push at least every 48 hours . In the event of not pushing it I.e assume my untimely demise I can have a nice script which controls the HA and reeks havoc . Kind of like Julie Christie in demon seed but no babies .

Needles in the eyes for you!. I believe open reach have a cost limit ( before they start billing the customer for the install ) of £3,400!!! Luckily to dig a trench from the road to my plot is just under that cost. Madness really; as a line across ( following an existing line ) would be considerably cheaper for them. They did say it would benefit my twatty neighbours if they ever wanted fibre though... I'll make sure I cut the cable at their junction if that happens. It is. There is a cable going from the pole to the other house next too me ( number 3 ). It doesn't matter now as we are going to dig up the street.
