  1. Most people don’t get that there are many different WiFi standards and speeds . So it’s not just distance from WiFi point ; also connection type - 802.11b / g / x etc etc … Virgin I always found unreliable ( in 4 seperate properties ) . A ubiquit hardwired back to the router solves range issues as you “ swap “ between them automatically as you roam the property .
  2. Title instantly made me think of some people

  8. Things like this I stick in a tray and if possible runs straight solid pipe out the property or down into a shower tray . Then you’ll see if it’s leaking rather than rely on an alarm ( which may fail ) . This ‘method ‘ avoided a messy leak once as tenant informed me water was coming out the pipe into the shower tray .

  18. How many skylights have you got in yours ?
  19. I think that’s what I said ( badly ) 1 post back . Might solve the issue for skylights . Stairwell and different ceiling heights are other issues
  20. Actually . Wouldn't it be better/easier to fix some straight 'L' angled steel from the top of the recess straight down vertically? i.e. say a length per corner? Have to be careful with thickness though as got to aerogel/board/skim. If this is a sensible idea - then what steel for this??? ( too much thinking today as it's Friday )
