  1. Was referring to my postcode . So (expletive deleted) you
  2. Just got an email about this …. £2.50 a kwH ! 🙄🙄🙄 ; might be BS
  3. No pun intended !! 🙄🙄🙄
  4. Yeah that sounds promising.
  5. Only a suspended ceiling so not expecting that to dampen sound much . Assume I could wrap the pipe in something tbh
  6. My nice black poo pipe below the beam and block can be quite noisy when a toilets flushed . What should I use to lag it and reduce the noise ??

    No neutral

Magic ! My sparky did it right ( I may have told him I need a neutral - I can’t remember ) . Well pleased ! . Once I install quality smart switch from land of the rising sun I can remotely turn the light off to annoy SWMBO !
  8. I knew a man who had a stroke . I told him not to touch it ! 😘

    No neutral

No 🙄 ; on my build ! I took a bedroom socket off the wall ( SWMBO insists on ‘ real ‘ switches in the bedroom ) . Unless I’m wrong - is that indeed a neutral there ?? 😎

    No neutral

Multiple lights wired in parallel I assume
  11. Yeah . Perhaps I’ll just paint the floor gold - that would do

    No neutral

Am I correct uk lighting circuits generally have no neutral ? If I remove my wall switch what am I looking for to see if there’s a neutral ? ( 3 wires instead of 2 ??? ) . Trying to sort a smart switch dimmer - but impossible with no neutral …?
  13. Yeah I know it's not a real issue - just bugs me... ( basically they screeded too high - I asked them to allow 15mm for tiling ). Have seen them at £120 a sq m !!!
  14. Probably not. But it does mean a slight lip going from inside to outside over the sliding door threshold. Whilst ultra thin tiles would probably solve my issue I think the price may make me live with a minor 'step'
  15. I know ! That’s the thinnest I found . Something tells me cost might make me cry…
  16. No no no , real tiles
  17. Thinking ahead as usual ! My external sliding doors give me about 10mm of play off the concrete slab . Hence why considering these . With decoupling mat and adhesive it’s going to be tight . Anyone any experience of these ? ( sub 6mm ) . In theory should be easier to work with due to less weight . Assume tile adhesive bed can be thinner also ..?
  18. Is the title an order ?
  19. Dewalt for the men !
  20. Same issue with doorbird . Often delivery drivers don’t think it’s a doorbell ( not sure what they think it is ! )
  21. No plumbers on here ????
  22. Agree ! My solution is ‘ crude ‘ . But it would work . Doorbird has a “ if bell button pushed send url “ . As you can imagine this makes interfacing to HA easy . In terms of latency with zigbee is unknown ( hopefully better than z wave ) . Doorbird remotely I.e trying to have a 2 way conversation is literally impossible- but that’s due to internet latency rather than intranet . Assume reolink would suffer the same fate .
  23. https://fb.watch/ijuIgld8uF/ it’s awesome ! . The man says “ no mistakes with cuts “ .
  24. Guess so i plan to put a zigbee socket on the chimer . This should be able to register load - so chime activated is a recognisable state .
