You are indeed correct !! It’s all a bit awkward and “ cheap “ . They were inexpensive. I bought 3 to test - as we will need I reckon 30 . Not too impressed with them . Life would be so much easier if you access the bulb through the front of the fitting .

SWMBO light choice turned up today . I’m assuming I am being very thick - but I can’t see what holds the bulb in place . The bulb fitting doesn’t fix to the recess . So the bulb just dangles on its flex - can’t be right . I’m being dim like the bulb for sure 🙄🙄🙄

It’s interesting that the sky lights within the build never have condensation. You would assume moisture would get stuck up there and settle on the cooler glass .

Did that - but got bored and decided having a life was better .

Got another one of these light wells to do soon ( ish ) . Going to build it in a similar way but leave a nice hole at the top . Get the glass on and see what happens . A proper comparative test @Radian ! Drilling the other to make a hole of some kind will be a pita ; so want proof of theory .

Did actually think about plants in there and whether they would add / subtract from the moisture . I might be able to stick a hole in the insulation outside the build ( but next to the light well ) . Wouldn’t be at the top though ( assume I really need it as near to the glass as possible ) .
