Not checked mine . But as a small form factor relatively low spec I’d hope its current draw is low . But I need to check this . Tbh our electric bill is zero ( consumption- export ) - so probably not a real issue in our circumstances.

This is one of the reasons my HA is on a NUC with ups . The pi’s are great for somethings though . I use max2play as the streamer but you can configure it so it never writes to the SD card once booted . This solves lots of issues during any power outage . Storage wise pi is I think a bit unreliable with ssd / usb ; so I have a dedicated nas with raid . Of course this all costs wonga …

Fitted the trv One thing I did notice opening it from 1 to 5 caused the internal mechanism to move a lot . Reality the pin only needs to move a few mm . So it’s unlikely to work properly I.e it’s either fully on or off . But (expletive deleted) it

I would get your installer to look at these graphs . But yes ; if battery is outputting 4kwh and there is 2kwh of pv - you can draw 6kwh without the grid . You do have to be careful though as pv could drop for a few seconds / minutes ( so you’ll take from the grid ) then recover . As you say - check the meter before / after cooking - that might identify what’s going on .

On a PowerWall ( for example ) max sustained output is 5kwh . So maybe you were drawing more than this at a particular time ? ( say oven and hob simultaneously ) . In terms of taking from the grid when not needed it can happen fairly frequently but for short periods . If I suddenly demand 4kwh ; I can see that I take from the grid for a few seconds to meet demand - then presumably the inverter sorts it’s life out and it takes from the battery .
