  1. I’m still experimenting with person detection on tpu . It’s been pretty good - no birds , spiders , weather false triggers . I few false triggers ( SWMBO put some drying clothes over a step ladder - was flagged more of a person than me ! ) . I use it internally which means triggering lights can cause a noticeable delay ( upto a second ) . A strategically placed motion sensor ( to get the light on instantly) and then person detection to keep it on seems to be working perfectly !
  2. This is confusing Left shows I assume 2.1cm ‘in’ i.e edge of door to be inline with first cross . Yet it’s drawn arrow doesn’t go to that vertical point . 3.4cm on the otherside does though …
  3. I’m not worried about drilling it properly - I’m sure I’ll go straight through the (expletive deleted)ing door ! . It’s the positioning I can’t get from the instructions . Decided no jig ( as it wouldn’t work ) and just go in naked ( always best 😉 )
  4. I’ve found some spare veneer I can practise on ffs . (expletive deleted)ing anti instructions
  5. Looking at pics 2 and 4 the hinge is miles away from the edge of the door I.e not the jigs original position.
  6. I hate things like this . 1 time only to get it right …. Got to drill the recessed holes for door hinges . The Forster instructions confuse me . 1st pic it’s upside down and not directly along the edge . I assume the lip on the jig is for this purpose - also the screws do what ? 2nd pic . After supposedly marking the hole the jig is turned up the right way ( lip used to get position ) and screw fitting holes drilled . This can’t be correct ! . The jig upside down in pic 1 and the mysterious screws are not helping . I hate electrics I hate plumbing I hate joinery
  7. My other smart switches are good with my HA just this one being a git. I have a multi meter but I only like using it when their are only 2 wires to check - feels safer.
  8. All done 👍 The switch was temporary. I took it off sometime ago ( taking no notice of the wiring ) Wired in a ‘ smart’ switch . Been giving me all kinds of grief ! . Turns on/off randomly . Dimming is shimmery . Sends Rf shite out on my zigbee network causing all kinds of other issues . Removed it and replaced with boring normal switch ( so SWMBO can leave the lights on ) . Obviously new smart switches on their way from land of the rising sun ! So temp switch will be removed in due course for more fun .
  9. Went for this . Not an elbow but 30mm shorter so gives me more of a chance to get it in Situ
  10. I find diagrams confusing I find what I read confusing I find what I post confusing
  11. Got this for connection to saniflo inlet ( grey water ) . But it’s real tight to get it in space wise so I’m swearing . I can’t find a 90 degree version . This is the nearest - would it do ? This is just an inlet from a washer so no pumping out or anything ….
  12. Think I’ll finish early today ….
  13. Ffs ! Over enthusiastic cutting on pump causes jubilee clip to come apart and flood . No lights or sink now ! 🙄 (expletive deleted)ing Mondays
  14. That what I said isn’t it ? . I’ll make a few alterations
  15. I’m doing plumbing at the moment to avoid the electrics until confidence is above 95%
  16. After my re think I’m going with neutrals tied together and out the way . 1 live in common other in L1 . I bet my life ( literally ) on that being correct .
  17. This is what I’m thinking @joe90 ( now ) . But you said ‘guess’ 🤣 - I don’t like guessing on electrics . I think we are correct but will wait before I commit to electrocuting… 😎
  18. Hmmmm I think L2 isn’t used and neither of the neutrals ? ( just tape and push out the way ) . So maybe simply live into L1 and other live into common ? Now I clearly don’t know ….
  19. About to wire a simple light switch . Switch has L1 , L2 and common Wall wiring has 2 lives and 2 neutrals . Googling is confusing me ! Is it just brown live into L1 , other into L2 ( single gang ) ; then both neutrals into the common ? Confidence I’m right , becomes hesitation, which becomes doubt , which becomes ask !
  20. Yeah I didn’t foam around the hep20 . I foamed around the 110mm pipe . The hep2o’s move freely through the pipe .
  21. I only foamed to hold the 110mm in place - not necessarily of course . But as a pro - that’s what I do ( big balls emoji )
  22. For plant room to floor above I hammered a big hole in the beam and block . Then foamed in 110mm soil pipe into it . Hep2o pipe work fed through that .
  23. Install it so everyone can bitch about it on here and your poor quality workmanship.
  24. Anyone with this ? Can I install the modbus myself ? Looking to completely control battery schedule remotely via home assistant- so effectively no cloud access .
  25. Sometimes they just do a “ google “ valuation- not even bother driving by 🙄
