Rest and relaxation - escaping from the build

Slotted (brass, roundheads?) have got to be the most obvious if off kilter. Saying that the more you look at them the more it bugs you: -

Ref the screws.....I suppose you would drive them in with a cordless then go back and tweak to the same angle with a manual screwdriver? -
Google "cordless table lamp". Could you maybe site a few of these potential socket positions all interconnected with ducting and each covered with a tile etc.

Ta. As I plan "casting" my own tray in-situ, to falls I might do the angled woodwork first. Got to figure if it'll work at all as I'd left space bang in the corner for a conventional trap, clear of the UFH pipes which would now get "covered" possibly by any such angled section. I've since been considering the Geberit wall drain. Cross these bridges when I get to them I guess!

Well I've ordered a 2m length strip & controller. I'll wait until I get it before deciding where it'll be fed from and where to site the sensor I think.

What ever possessed me to accept a second hand 10'x8' wooden shed off of my brother and then spend a small fortune trying to make it something it'll never be? My only excuse is I hadn't found eBuild then. If I had I'd have done it all so different. Did I learn? I've also got a 2nd hand freebie 10'x12' in need of some repair sitting stacked flat under a tarp. Should have saved my money and bought a wood burning stove!

Should have stuck wheels and a tow hitch on 2) then you could have escaped 1)! Talking of buying women drinks my lucky escape I guess was from the brandy and Babysham drinker! Not good on apprentice's money! My missus is getting back into Pernod & black 30 years after she stopped drinking it. Young barmaid the other night had been working in the pub 18 months and hadn't been asked for it once. Managed to find a dust covered bottle at the back of a shelf. Missus was complaining Pernod was £19 a bottle in I think Tesco. So I bought her an £12 bottle of Ouzo from Lidl.

PMSL! Only been at the bathroom 18 months! Just pulled a bit of the PIR out and am running a length of flexible conduit down. Knew these old clips would come in handy one day if I kept them long enough!

Ta. We're trying door less to start with but with strong studs positioned to add doors or glass "wings" later. So you completed the square internal corner first then added the angled face.

Barsteward! Just showed the wife and she said "Perfect, that's just what I want! Except.....she wants recesses both sides, doesn't like the "twiddly" bits (aka controls) nor the "drainy" bit being in the middle. So, got to mod the corner studwork to give a 45deg strip.

Bath Surround / Boxing In, and concealed pipework

It's looking like I might shortly get to having what I've coined a "B'halfroom". That is working bath and sink along one wall. As much as anything a peacekeeping exercise! That'll leave the wc and wet room corner on the opposite wall to do. Posing as many questions as usual like can I lay just a few floor tiles under the sink and finish the rest "later" or should I maybe go for a half height pedestal then I could forget about the tiles? -

As a kid I used to watch a Japanese (I think) cartoon called "Marine Boy", underwater adventure type thing. Searching for that in the now internet age brought up a whole lot of images I wish I hadn't seen! -

Thank God for silver tape! Presumably then (and I have) it's a GOOD idea to keep aluminium foil tape from touching copper pipes because of potential electrolytic reaction? -
Looking for low profile, side mount deck valves to work with a bath overflow filler. Like this shape wise but without the shower function. So just one for hot and one for cold. Any ideas as to where I might get them as I'm getting nowhere! Cheers. http://www.bathstore.com/products/thermostatic-deck-mounted-bath-and-shower-valve-triple-function.html

Looking at these "new fangled" (to me at least) 12V waterproof LED gel strip lights that you cut to length, for the long alcove alongside the bath, the multi coloured type with the remote control. I've a cunning plan for effective, ambient back lighting that won't be in your face glaring whilst lying in the bath. Anyone got any recommendations? I was looking at this supplier from the plethora on eBay. Planning to extend and take the cabling up into the loft and use my own transformer. Might look to light the shower alcoves too - TBA. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1M-2M-3M-4M-5M-5050-IP65-RGB-SMD-LED-Strip-44-Keys-Remote-Controller-Connector-/291361247328?var=&hash=item43d67bd060:m:mgP1Dg-izAkZ0uFI-8ytNDA And can you get spare remotes as I can see one "going swimming"? Guessing if I ordered two sets then one remote would control all which I could live with happily. Where, btw is the sensor for the remote? Cheers (This from a man who's only ever really fitted "proper" downlighters, trannies and florries! )

UFH spare run to non-existent room - and cooling?

You just run ducting (and a draw string(s) if I were you) from the manifold stopping adjacent to where your new room will / may be. This is what I'm doing.....Nick said.....he is a God! 1&2 - Wait for Nick! -

Needed to reinstate the 50mm PIR on the cavity wall where the pipes are. Figured as above to V the PIR which I did on the table saw after marking with a bevel gauge to clear the 15mm copper. Just got to infill it now: The V meets at the back. Can't decide whether to just gun foam the Vs and trim off later or stick back in the removed sections (trimmed for depth)with low expansion foam, At least then the Celotex writing would be back in place! Can't see that "burying" these pipes is an issue on the basis there are no joints in them whatsoever just offsets and bends. -
Considering using these "double" pipe clips up in the loft: http://www.screwfix.com/p/talon-15mm-double-hinge-clip-white-50-pack/20167 The runs will be in what is a potentially cold roof space ( in the nom 1' gap above the ground floor ceiling joists and below the dormer floor joists), at least in the short term. I'd want to anyway insulate all of my pipes. If I were to use these double clips to run a hot and cold 15mm side by side, then insulated over the whole lot, would I not risk masses of condensation between the two?

I reckon you're right. Seems at least one is a Swiss built plane now registered in Norway: http://www.eastbourneairshow.com/flying.aspx
