I bought the DeWalt right angle drill adapter from FFX on a special and it is fanbloodytastic and then some (except it's yellow ). It was reassuringly expensive without the discount. Actually the colour is a good thing as it's pretty small. So good I then bought one for my chippy, DeWalt fanboy mate and he raves about it. I bought a near identical copy from Lidl mainly made from seemingly h.duty green plastic. Looked good / felt good. I killed it on its first outing. There are diamonds amongst the rough to be had but that wasn't one of them.

@Nickfromwales, I've decided in going to fill in the wet room corner LEVEL with a screed mix then "shave" the falls into it. Area is nom 1.5 x 1.4m. It's nom 100mm deep. Looking at that Ardex A38 you said about it's £27.33 + VAT for a 25kg bag! I have then 2.1m sq. At 100mm thick. Was going to use the screeding sand + 8 to 10mm aggregate + A38 mix laid out here: TECHNICAL.pdf Coverage: Approximately 3.2m2 at 25mm thick per 25kg unit Sound like a plan?

I'll shop anywhere & eat anything. I've been in a Waitrose ONCE in my entire life. I do insist on Shell fuel though so go to a Waitrose garage I should point out I go to Lidl at Sevenoaks as its next to the station I travel from. It's a whole world away from say Lidl at Sidcup or Dartford. No guards for a start! You just get a better class of bargain hunter looking for vfm items. Chateauneuf Du Pape is only a tenner a bottle.

I think the quote was literally meaning a hair dryer from Lidl not a Parkside multi tool from Lidl. Saying that I imagine Lidl hair dryers (Silver Crest brand?) are probably OK too. Just bought their £9.99 waffle maker and that's alright. Oddly enough I don't shop at Waitrose!

Anyone replaced the drum bearings on a wasing machine?
Onoff replied to ProDave's topic in Boffin's Corner
This I think is that referenced "no longer available" inner bearing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Genuine-Daewoo-DAE3616303100-Ball-Bearing/1651067964 -

Midland Bearings are v.helpful I find. -
Me too. Got a draw full of crap tools from Makro etc. Never use 'em. The Parkside multi tool however I have not stopped using. Plenty of grunt, nice feel and passes the drop test. Quick change would have been nice. I only got it as my original Draper multi tool had a non standard blade fitting. Top one is the Draper - weird hex fitting, lower one I think my mates MacAllister. He's now gone 18V DeWalt.

Still got 'em in Lidl!

Estate Car to carry house doors inside, flat

Had a BIG barney with the missus years ago and punched a door in frustration. Even bigger row ensued! Still fuming off I went to Wickes to get a replacement. I took the front passenger seat headrest off to get the cheap sapele door in the back of the car. Driving too fast I took a sharp left hand turn and the door slid across, pinning me against the driver's window by the neck. I couldn't steer so carried on into the hedge!- 77 replies

There's a bloke over on UK Whitegoods asking the very same! Any use? https://www.partmaster.co.uk/washing-machine/dwd-g1441s/bearing/catalogue.pl?shop=daewoo&path=108198&model_ref=1264258&refine=bearing -
My chippy mate is raving about the DeWalt 18V one he's just bought. Like I always tell him, the big problem with DeWalt is that it's YELLOW!

I've knocked 7 shades out of mine. Really can't fault it. Saxton blades btw.

Can't you just get your hand down there to clean the boss, brush on a good slug of solvent adhesive and push a bit of grey back down?

Page 4 here shows two variations on the terracotta stuff; solid wall and foam core: http://www.polypipe.com/sites/default/files/Terrain_Underground_Broch_July_201376.pdf Not got a clue what the bit I used was...unless I can find the offcut!

It'll damage generations that!

I did glue brown to grey with solvent weld and solvent weld FILLER as I mistakenly ran a length of brown in my wall rather than grey. Although both PVC they're different BS numbers. The brown feels softer/more resilient/less brittle. Even when cleaned with IPA and roughed up the brown doesnt "melt" as well. Though the assembly passed the water test I did go over the top with CT1. Fingers crossed!
