App? Can of spray paint, wooden stake(s) and a Sharpie?

You just want a 25mm MDPE elbow don't you? That white one should come off easy enough. Doing mine was daunting as per the pm but it all worked out with no leaks.

Bath Surround / Boxing In, and concealed pipework
Onoff replied to Onoff's topic in Bathrooms, Ensuites & Wetrooms
So back to the vcl... I've punctured it severely so, with the body dryer ducts. The draught from the loft into the bathroom is unreal: So I've split it down the middle and brought up what's left, up and over the tops of the joists: The plan is to first, stick a strip of vcl (probably blue dpm), around the inside of the "box" and have this say 2" above so it can fold over the top. Then, I'll put a good bead of intumescent along the long edges and up the internal corners: Then I'll line the 4 inside faces with 6mm cloaking / Asbestolux to fireproof the box a bit. The body dryer will go back in. Then a sheet of pink plasterboard will be screwed down probably on a self adhesive, intumescent seal atop the joists. I can't see I'll need the kindly offered airtight tape? -
It's pretty normal on all the roofs I work on to have a concrete upstand around the perimeter that's homogenous to the slab. e.g. - metal decking - reinforced concrete laid to falls - asphalt - decoupling membrane - blue board insulation - fabric barrier - council slabs and / or pebbles

Thompson's Water Seal? It won't breathe very well though...

Yeah, what if it's not just blokes who park on it?

So as you brake near the edge won't the car's momentum potentially "shift" the edge blocks into the GRP upstand and fairly rapidly destroy it...

It's got a 10 minute preset cut off timer in it. Quite clever in its own way but how practical the whole thing is I'll find out! It can be wired so that the same cable can feed a shower but only one device will run at any time. The remote looks bloody expensive if it fails! -
Or as one of my my labourers used to say "one 'o them HIV vests".

MCB remote control/programmable?
Onoff replied to readiescards's topic in Consumer Units, RCDs, MCBOs
You CAN certainly get remote activated breakers but I think they're more for an industrial setting. I will very likely see the Schneider technician at work this week so will ask him. They do a Reflex range. ABB and Eaton I think do similar. As for control I THINK it is maybe RS-485 or some sort of bus control. A bit beyond my red wire live / black wire neutral mindset tbh! -
Yeah, sorry for the hijack! Moved to my own thread now!

I wish as a kid, I had known about "lock nuts". The times the ordinary full nut would come loose from the cross member or brake of my home made cart. Never stopped us using it though. Fitting pram axles on with galvanised staples wasn't a good idea either looking back!

T'Pol from Enterprise does it for me. Just got to pluck up the courage to ask SWMBO to wear those pointy ears I got her.... -
I saw some professional GRP roof examples at BuildIt Live. Very impressive.

Maybe it's a precursor to the "big one" and the Welsh separatists will really get their wish, San Andreas style!

The CPC brochure was on the mat. This "fuse finder" is a good price I think: http://cpc.farnell.com/duratool/d03051/circuit-findersocket-tester/dp/IN07313 -

I'm hoping the girl in video 2 steps under it and at the touch of a button the one in video 1 steps out! -

I bench tested it at work mainly because of the readily available supply in the workshop. (I don't even have a 40A breaker in my current cu). We had it pointing upward and it blew all the dust and debris off of the top of the trunking and ducts! -

I'm banking on this review: Rather than this: If nothing else it'll warm the room up pronto!
