  1. This thread I started?
  2. I have one of these bought for the thick stuff: https://www.screwfix.com/p/bahco-insulation-saw-22-560mm-/7498K? But tbh I mainly use one of these. Makes sawdust but deadly accurate: https://www.celotex.co.uk/products/insulation-saw For trimming gun foam I use an old bread knife.
  3. Fair enough! I'd still be cautious of being an early adopter of stuff. I had Cable & Wireless cable years ago and the phone would frequently be out of service. Failed one day in an emergency situation and I went back to BT. Imo the guy who looked over the fence will have just been a salesman, on commission just interested in drumming up business.
  4. Agreed, a couple of other points to consider...
  5. Some worrying comments about them in FB: (Not that I'm on or ever will be in FB just to note). https://m.facebook.com/TrueSpeedInternetService/reviews?locale2=en_GB + https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2018/01/truespeed-attempt-best-bt-200mbps-guaranteed-broadband-speed.html
  6. How wide out of interest is the garage door? Something else on my wish list!
  7. 1st pic doesn't do it for me. Like the 3rd pic though.
  8. Too late...I'd drink it not sell it...
  9. Yep, ran out last night so need to revisit to achieve the max 200mm ctrs Knauf recommend.
  10. Not sure I like Aqua Panel... For small, intricate bits like these pockets it's dusty, a bit like working with /cutting PIR. Makes you cough. Reminds me of dusty, crushed glass. Thin strips seem to want to crack. (Big pieces are fine to fit). Two out of three pockets done at least and EBT'd & screwed in place. I rushed the deeper one on the left last night and have a bit of a bulge in the right hand side. The mosaic will need a sliver off to fit. On the shallow pocket on the right hand side the wall behind the pocket tapers. There's a finger thickness gap one side between the back of the Aqua Panel and face of the PIR, tapering to nothing on the right hand side.
  11. I have a load here... ...bought a few years ago... ...yet to fit oddly enough...
  12. I had a bit of an email exchange with Prof Alex Seifalian a while back when I had some ideas on using cell proteins as bio inks for 3D printing scaleable organ scaffolds etc rather than re-seeding cadaver parts. (The US researchers I contacted were a bit more aloof). https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/science/2016/dec/12/leading-uk-university-launches-inquiry-into-links-with-work-of-controversial-surgeon-paolo-macchiarini More to the point I'm booking SWMBO in for some pointy ears!
  13. Wouldn't be without our annual service contract for our Hotpoint WMD960 washing machine. It's crap!
  14. Just watching a thing on tissue engineering where they were 3D printing ears. So...if the kid was say a Star Trek fan...could they get pointy ones?
  15. Your contactor could weld itself on one day of course... The 24vdc psu will likely just pack up eventually with no ill effect.
  16. Eaves guard / eaves protector / felt support tray
  17. Cheers. That didn't take long did it? Further down the line I'd like to add ensuites to the others bedrooms so it'll be a repeat...twice. The "can I drill a 110mm hole through the web of the RSJ that runs under the centre of the dormer" questions can wait for another time!
  18. True, my pension prospects are such that we seriously won't be able to stay here / maintain it into our old age. :( Just have to hope something comes up. This time next year Rodders...
  19. Thanks. The "problem" is that the "ADD W/C" run wants to go straight thru the 9"x6" perimeter beam - the one where the old white junction box is screwed to:
  20. Never thought I'd say it about DeWalt but I want one! Very impressed.
  21. Is the shadow line a laser?
  22. Quite impressed with the 255mm diamond blade fitted to the Evolution Rage 3 saw: https://www.toolstop.co.uk/index.php? Only cutting Aqua Panel with it admittedly.
  23. Sketch pls? Sketch pls? Until I move this soil I can't run my shower feeds in the loft. It's holding me up...
