  1. Occasionally I'll EXTRUDE something...heart's not really in it at the mo... EDIT: Hunger may be a factor, today my intake has consisted of: - 3 slices buttered toast - 1 bag Rib 'n Saucy things - 1 bag Walkers Sensations (Thai Sweet Chilli) - 1 bag Kashmiri Chicken Naan Chips - 1 handful cheesy things from the pound shop - a handful of Drumstck flavour sweets A way to a man's heart is...well clearly some women have no idea!
  2. There's this: http://orituk.com/product/4300-mfk-brick-block-cutter/
  3. Missus said earlier "Where are we on the tiles?" "Can't be arsed!" said I. She's decorating No.1 daughter's room and I'm drinking beer.
  4. What you need is a big shed to store stuff in...to stop it getting wet... Seriously you took 8 years on the house so the shed needs to compliment it and look a bit "special" I'm thinking!
  5. Christ it's not cheap is it? Can you get it in a wine box? Are they fussy? https://www.costco.co.uk/Food-Wine-Household/Wines/Fortified-Wine/Kirkland-Signature-10-Year-Old-Tawny-Port-75cl/p/787876
  6. Bored...started to model it on CAD...bored again now! Hark, is that the call of Shipyard Ale???
  7. One bonus is the boards and joists should be dry so no swelling to overcome...hopefully they'll come out with just that satisfying screech!
  8. The ones I've pictured add 46mm???
  9. If it's these Hep2O valves you are getting then they're 112mm long and the copper goes in each end about 33mm. The blue thing is from the removal tool kit you need to buy seperate. So you need to remove 46mm from a section of pipe to fit the valve in.
  10. Not got a clue but reading with great interest as I've got the one to install I got from @PeterStarck. The incoming main is a mile away from the boiler, wm, DW etc. Trying to get my head around it!
  11. The mountain would be smaller once crushed. If you did have too much at the end you'd get plenty of takers for it I'm sure. Factor in some bottles to placate the neighbours if it's that noisy!
  12. Wet pallets seem to lead to rusty nails in my experience. The combination of swollen, wet wood and nails that have grown with rust can make them tough to bust up. Then you get pallets that have gotten wet previously but (like now) are super dry. Busting those and the now shrunken wood can in fact pull off the rusted nails leaving the nails in the bearers.
  13. Add another $20 for shipping & import taxes to the UK: https://www.amazon.com/Multi-Angle-Brick-and-Block-Cutter/dp/B01LR94QNE/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1535016403&sr=8-1-fkmr2&keywords=marshall+block+cutter (Don't make me make one! )
  14. I would hope their's is toughened steel maybe like fork prongs. Without trying it I don't know how well it performs but it appears to work equally as well as mine if not better and be lighter. Gut feel is that the "S" bend shape of the forks adds strength and also aids the lifting action, lifting one side first then the other? Tbh lifting one side first then the other should take less effort. MIne was specifically made with the intent of putting equal pressure across the two nails - it therefore takes more grunt. I reckon there's less chance of splitting the wood. Tricky one to call! The corporate sell for the Roughneck: Using it for real: This was the one I was at one time going to copy.....doubles for getting cats off of pallets As ever I did mine as much for the satisfaction and the simple "could I". I can!
  15. Anyone got a link to standard pallet sizes, ideally with dimensions? Cheers

    It's finished

    Loved this from the start.
  17. That came across as having more expletives in for some reason!
  18. As said above I thought it was a st/st sink.
  19. When I thought you were drilling STAINLESS!
  20. Dunno what you have to do for free delivery but this has a 35mm one in that should be OK for composite: https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/summer-essentials/car-accessories/summer-essentials-deals/?553983340&0&cc5_1055 And no, I cant find it any cheaper!
  21. Again, what is the sink made of? EDIT: Sorry just read "composite fancy Franke"
  22. Making it look pretty with a rattle can found in the garage: Can spray paint go out of date? Damp, early evening isn't maybe the best time to spray tbh...the runs! Anyway, paint finish should last for a good 30 seconds on the tool's next outing!
  23. Yes you could do it that way if you have the patience. Scribe a line nom 32m dia. Run round with a centre punch on the line at about 3mm between each one. Drill all your 3mm holes assuming the drill doesn't slip into the adjacent hole. Then curse like f**k that HSS doesn't really like drilling st/st - HsCo is what you want. You will struggle to get a hacksaw in there but by all means try. You'll need to "worry" the piece out of there. Good luck with that. Then a half round file to make good. What a balls ache! I can do no more than tell you the right way to do something. DO NOT be tempted to buy this sort: https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Amtech-M1590-Carbon-Steel-Hole-Saw-and-Mandrel-Set-5-piece/2254794706?iid=282912646136
  24. You said you need a 35mm hole in the new sink? You'll need this: https://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-bi-metal-holesaw-35mm/72961 & a suitable arbor for it to go on: https://www.screwfix.com/p/quick-hitch-holesaw-arbor-11mm/12437 If you're flush then Bosch Progressor hole saw sets are superb and quick change too. The 14-piece set includes a 35mm I think. What's your new sink made out of?
