  1. Went for the 10mm notched trowel. @Nickfromwales, how do I get the excess tile adhesive from between the grout lines NOW (still wet) so there's enough room later for the actual grout? Cheers
  2. Thought I might make a start...
  3. 4pm on a Sunday...work in the morning...
  4. It's about £50 per search I've been told! Makes me think I should maybe scan and Dropbox all mine.
  5. I think I've a load of 2391 past papers here too...somewhere...if I find them I'll send it all on.
  6. It's a doddle getting it on the ceiling imo. Making it look good is the art.
  7. Not to piss on your parade this early but I think STROMA require the 2391 (now 2394 & 5) to do EICRs. Could be wrong...
  8. Nick, took a chance on the email and just sent. Sorry, might be some repeats in there on the test papers. I'd start with the 17th Simulator which is an .exe file so assume you'll need a Windoze pc? This just to get a feel where you are.
  9. Nick, is that a 0 (zero) between first and surnames in your email address? Going to send you all I have on the 17th via Wetransfer inc the simulator. As I said this is AMD1 stuff doesn't cover renewables etc.
  10. Let me be the first to say welcome. The more knowledgeable will be along shortly with advice! A good chance you can visit builds incorporating the systems you're talking about. They're very friendly here! The more pictures/sketches of what you're proposing the better btw.
  11. Two "musts": Don't shag the neighbours missus / daughter Don't run over their cat/ dog
  12. Like this. Window sill is in fact that much wider than the sink. Done well should be no chance of water getting under the 3cm upstand or sill. And the white upvc will match the windows.
  13. Just throwing ideas around: Put a 30mm upvc cloaking profile along behind the sink bedded down on a bead of clear CT1 between the cloaking edge and worktop. Stuck to the pb with same. You could tape and fill the walls either side and do in bathroom paint. https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-PVCu-White-Cloaking-Profile-30-x-2500mm/p/162619 Then do the sill in a upvc capping board that would wrap over the 3cm upstand. For example, different widths available: https://www.trulypvc.com/window-door-parts/board-sill-trims/window-board-cill-capping-cover-1.25m? Waterproof, easy wipe etc. But is the upstand 3cm? Earlier you said 3-4cm...
  14. Such a shame as looks a nice job from the pics.
  15. Yeah, I SO need another double garage!
  16. What's the technique, wait till she opens her mouth and shove the ear plugs in still in the bag?
  17. Certainly can: 1976 MK2 Capri 2.0 GL 1983 MK3 Capri 2.0 S 1983 MK3 Capri 1.6 Cabaret
  18. Just get some ale in, they can here someone crack a tin open from about 600 miles! A Batman esque rooftop signal that projects the image of a pie/Tunnocks tea cake into the night sky has the same calling effect. :)
  19. Just hoping I don't have to do it where I forgot to back butter the tiles on the floor of the wet room corner!
  20. I've used the multitool diamond blade to run down the grout lines and then the chisel blade to take of the excess on the tile back / wall floor.
  21. I was only joking.....though there are certain car parks in Sevenoaks where the attendants escort me to somewhere out of view!
  22. Yeah but it's f**king embarrassing when you go to pick stuff up from fellow Buildhubbers and you park it in front of their posh house!
  23. Go old Ford!
  24. Bought my MK1 Focus estate off a mate as pure workhorse. Ghia spec so a bit of comfort on long runs and a not too shabby 138bhp. Roof rack on top, sorted the suspension and it did masses of work. Had to retire it due to tin worm. Got the new sills etc and it's on the to do list some time after the bathroom!
