I saw them in Lidl...didn't buy one though...

Pretty sure I get more than an hour out of it. I'll give it a full charge and time it untiI it dies. I try to make sure like when cutting tiles last night, that I turn it off every time I pop back indoors. When I have been caught out is when doing pipework in the loft. Probably more to do with the time I take to do anything! That Eiger worklight linked above is so versatile. Has built in hooks each end, magnets on strings so you can string it up under the bonnet etc as well as the tripod.

- A few under the basin - Inside the cupboard - Window reveal - top & sides - 2 pockets - sides - Over the door & cupboard though want to get the door frame in before doing that and inside the cupboard. - The bath pocket - Bath deck and tapered sides Starting to think about heat now, getting the UFH loop and towel rad jumped in to the ancient downstairs single pipe CH. That's tomorrow night sorted then!

A bit more done. I actually had to break the ice in the clean water bucket I'm using for the tile saw! Maybe last two pockets and window reveal next. As an odd aside it's been pretty cold in the as yet unheated bathroom. About 13degC. Lots of heat loss at the mo through the ceiling and wall conduits etc. What I found helped was tipping a jug of water down the wall drain to fill the trap. At the moment the waste just exits outside and is temporarily capped with an old aerosol lid duct taped on! Went up 3-4deg by the time I'd finished in there.

Been using my 10W one tonight to cut tiles outside in the dark! Bought it dirt cheap at Electricfix on a whim when I had a book of discount vouchers. It does catch me out and die occasionally. They have 30W ones at work which I'd go for next time. I got one of these last year as a pressie. Superb really for the money. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/mega-led-worklight-with-tripod-was-24-now-10-homebase-in-store-2858502

Can you not suck the parameter sets out of these ASHP units and store them? In case the unit goes down (or someone else wants them). Just thinking what I do with inverters etc.

You can afford it!

Iko Permatec? Massive company, do roof rain water outlets and all sorts.

Did you get felt up? Cromasol White btw sold in Asphaltic branches. Also "Solaflex" but that's twice the price.

Did you get felt up?

Sounds my kinda guy! How old? (Not in THAT sense...unless he's minted! ) You can mitigate UV damage by painting on solar reflective paint direct to the asphalt. I'll take a pic of a can if I have one.

Usually a 45deg fillet at the base of the upstand then an inch thick or more up the sides with a wrap of expanding mesh to support if you feel the need (not essential but do so on a steel post). Needs to return into some form of rebate / tuck in the top. Sides sometimes straight not tapered. Nice lead cap to finish off. ...imho Done a good few plinths like this over the years but always subbed out the asphalting. Top of lead cap usually 6" off of main roof. As the Welshman says, never lost a patient yet! Only got a Sharpie on me...

Pretty common, the white picket fence idea remembering the soft play places I used to frequent with the kids. Round tops rather than pointed of course! You can of course get white upvc picket fencing so no splinters. My worry would be whether that's man enough to be clambered over etc as from memory they see it as an extension of the play equipment! I'd suggest something off the shelf in case someone bangs their head and you can at least claim it's fit for purpose. Good range here: https://www.tekplas.co.uk/? -
'Tis why I'll DIY 'till I die! Get yourself a Bricky tool and have a go. Bloke in the video is a good lad who I've had a couple of email exchanges with. Purists will scoff I'm sure. My chippy mates borrowed the "Bricky" and were equally impressed. I've got the original one in the video but they do a double width / adjustable one now. (My gripe with the original kit was the ad said it came with a Marshall trowel and it was in fact a Rolson stamped copy. Pretty good to be fair. I emailed Noel, got a personal email/apology back and got the Marshall trowel sent out along with a load of freebies. The galv "clips" for holding the string line are superb. Now both trowels are worn I can't tell which is which).

Hose frozen...just about managed to clean & refill buckets and came back in!

So how good is 0.47m3/m2.h in relation to the "0.25" figure quoted here?
-
So is "m3/m2.h" the same as "ac/h"?

I wonder what my bathroom would test at when finished... A few too many "openings" at the mo; conduit drops open to loft, wc pan "odour" take off to loft, wall drain with empty trap...
-
Yep long run. 2.5m stock length plus another 435mm bit. Too late to mitre as the long length is stuck on. Another newbie mistake!
-
That's about it. Shower riser to drill and fit, tiling in the cupboard might have to wait. Pocket lights to threadle up/down. Towel rad to go on & UFH...nowhere to connect them to at the mo...Body dryer...in but no supply as yet. Speaker and spot positions in loft to be better insulated. I'd like to get the door frame in asap but need to take the left hand wall back a bit. Pre-tiling but best shot of the doorway: Frame needs to go to the left. That brick needs to go and then be finished off. More chain drilling I reckon. Bastards, I'm going back outside to clean buckets after realising just how much more there is to do!

I promised warts and all! Looking down the run it's this "out". Down the bottom I've to put 10mm of adhesive under the 7mm tile to get it at least a little better. In effect I'll get the tiles plumb from here on down. Anyone, how do you invisibly join this sort of trim? I don't want water going inside.

What happens now you achieved this enviable reading. Do you address the minor leaks and test again. Or do you just accept a brilliant result that can likely only get better? How low can it go? We could run a book on the result!
-
Me neither but they can get in through the big holes where the heat's getting out!
