  1. Nor do extended pub lunches!
  2. Bicester would be a day out?
  3. Learn how to throw you own brick at Bicester Buildit:
  4. Aim is to mock up the bog roll dispenser on the bench with a Perspex side to observe the action and tweak as required. I'm bringing power down into the cupboard anyway so can tap off for any "rolls left" counter, auto retracting holder etc.
  5. More like "The Last English Iris" Cool though.
  6. What is this? I like it.
  7. Bugger...have I given him a bum steer? Sorry @8ball! Literally just done mine at Xmas will. My mixer and the offset fittings above were Bristan I think but I didn't use them hence having them loose to photograph. Remember now having to get new, straight ones off eBay to replace the originals. Pic on here somewhere.. My old bar mixer. You can just see the copper pipe into the 1/2" side of yhd adapter.
  8. OK, the 1/2" offset end fits over your 15mm copper pipe feeds like this: The 15mm pipe goes in a good way so you could in theory go in less so as to gain more projection. Not shown the nut, olive, ptfe tape and or compound (I use Jet Blue Plus) which I can mock up if you want? You put one spanner on the flats of your 3/4" bit. Another spanner on the nut at the 1/2" joint. Make sense?
  9. Another milestone reached! With a house full of girls I was forced into the new bathroom to properly maiden test the wc. I can confirm that it happily shifted last night's beef shatkora! I did have to use the brush after...another first!
  10. Allegedly, where I am was originally a 5 acre plot with permission in the 50's for 12 (24?) dwellings. It was never acted upon and lapsed. Now AONB etc and the council are very strict. Happy enough with my half acre. I can't imagine what it would have been like with that many houses here.
  11. It was an impulse thing to escape a house full of my daughters friends, well just 3 but it felt like more! Plus I was two beers in. I video called my mate on WhatsApp to show / explain. I personally found the Geberit instructions (WC, flush plate, wall drain) a bit daunting when I first saw them what with all the permutations. The fact they mix mm & cm on the same drawing is still weird to me but once you're used to them you can't help at marvel at the good design. There's nothing unnecessary and it just works. Sacrificed my Geberit pipe by taking the 4" off and spent a fiver on the pan connector. He'll I'm sure reimburse me and swap for the new fitting from his kit. He's likely going to do a dwarf wall out of 6x2 as he's a big fat lad, 20 stone plus. Keen to raise the seat height a little from it's current 400mm too. I joked it's so his ar$e cheeks no longer hit the floor...
  12. This all looks very doable! Mocked up his soil pipe position on my wall: Set one of my frames yo put the poo pipe centre at 240mm off the floor, same as mine: Then cut 4" off the Geberit 90deg piece so the mouth of the bent pan connector fits inside the frame: Overall it'll put the face of the blue frame about 180mm from the wall, if I trim the soil pipe and soil pan connector pipes back. (The Geberit instructions say 170mm).
  13. Certainly does, toit loik a toiger! So the multi, rubber flanged "male" on the bent pan connector is fine to go inside the 110 soil pipe coming out of the wall?
  14. So... @dpmiller's idea, one of these: Pretend the brown soil is coming out of my mates wall: Should end up with a lateral movement left about 180mm if everything is cut back to the minimum: Just got to dig the Geberit frame out and see if it all works! But is this black Geberit pipe to the white rubber seal good enough?
  15. Welcome..... LIGHTWEIGHT! ?
  16. I'm a bit lost as to how this magnetic lock works: I'm used to this sort. The handle operates the sprung top catch. The thumbscrew operates the lock with an emergency release thing the other side. Again with the pic why no second handle? Off to YouTube!
  17. Where can I buy the handle and twiddly bits like this as a kit that go on the door faces: Cheers
  18. ? The magnetic door catch people refer to everything as "precision" then tell you to use a "24-25mm" bit. I mean seriously, which is it? Stuff like this gets my goat! Maybe an "unimpressed from Sevenoaks" email is in the offing! Best not pi$$ them off in case they delay my order...
  19. Yes. Feed comes into isolator and earth terminates. Cable that goes onto fan, its earth wire is connected to the same point in the isolator.
  20. I might mock something up tonight / at the weekend with one of my spare Geberit frames against a wall with a bit of 110mm soil pipe gaffer taped to the wall at the same height his is.
  21. Seems a good shout to me. I really like that (i) it's cheap ?and (ii) more so, that it keeps everything closer to the wall, closer in fact than the short radius elbow. Hoping to build the dwarf wall from 145x45, Eased Four Edge Treated Carcassing. I feel for the lad doing it...if he does go ahead. I'll have a crack at ANY discipline & generally have the tools. Just hoping he's not over reaching himself. Tbh he'd be best joining the forum but isn't the sort. Lives in North London, Congestion Charge, ULEZ etc. I won't be going round there!
  22. Pretty sure ours sits in some 1/4" wall Gr316 stainless tube.
