Just to make @pocster feel good: Let's be honest it looks like it should be coming out not going in!
-
No sh!t!

Shop around but this is the kit. Mine is without the grey scraper thing: https://www.plumbworld.co.uk/cramer-fugi-professional-profiling-kit-7-1603-1261642?

... tiles are looking good all of a sudden... Or just say sod it and chuck a grand at it.
-
Remember you're not alone! I did my silicone then took it all out and redid with the Fugi kit: Pockets were a pita to do. Still not happy with bits (quite a few actually).

You use the little black inserts to ride over the grout lines:

I reckon your hex tiles would look all right. I'd want to keep them symmetrical mind. Say two whole hexes and halves either side.

Tart! Post the pictures up:

In SWMBO's words, and I quote: "It'd get it (the sliding shower doors) out of the stairs room". Big white box on the half landing. Been there 10 years at least. Can't see the problem myself. Hmmm...I wonder if it's a ploy by her to delay me digging up the stairs room...

Echoes of The Birdcage script there mate!

Mulling the cheapest route to shut SWMBO up! Old tray needs to go. Currently 800x800. I think she thinks we can keep the tiles! ? So 1200x800 tray to source. Waste route no issue. I'm half thinking of multi panel though I always think it looks a bit "caravan": Horrid Artex ceiling with glossed, polystyrene tiles over the shower. (We don't use this shower anymore btw).

You never know, somebody at Celtic might live half way between you and them. Worth an ask for the sake of a phone call.

No fault code readout on this beast! Did have a little key on the pump wear once...

Lime mortar from somewhere else then. In big bags that you mix yourself. You can complain then about the mess and ask what to do with the leftovers. I recommended it as was in a tub and easy. Why start whining about distance? You Google it. Or ring Celtic up yourself and ask if there is anywhere nearer. Use Covid as an excuse for not wanting to travel.

I have had an issue a while back with the fire valve. Pretty sure I replaced this... Ditto the filter inside: I might if I'm lucky have receipts with dates and part numbers in the "boiler" file. Think it was all posted up on the eBuild forum before it went t!ts up. SWMBO messaged me to say the boiler came on fine this morning.
-
One pipe. Tank is uphill.
-
Can't recall. I kept the old one so will have a look later and post a picture. I'll remove / check the filter tonight.
-
The boiler went in in 1998 and I changed the the jety for the first time as far as I know in 2015. That's a long time!
-
I replaced it in March 2015 along with making some new baffles, the gasket between the burner and the box etc.
-
D'you mean 40mm or 35mm...(47mm even)?
-
Never has been serviced other than what I've done to it.
-
Will do, thanks.

Its working but just every now and again was locking out. Seems to be working OK at the moment. One other thing I did was rearrange the route of the fire valve capillary tube and straighten a few tight radii. Maybe that was an issue? See how it goes tomorrow.
-
Not sure. Seems to be running OK now. I went out up the garden and checked the oil. Gave the valve on the tank a screw fully in then out again in case any crap in that. Came in and twiddled the boiler stat. I think I replaced the cap when I went through it all. 2015?
