Remember you're not alone! I did my silicone then took it all out and redid with the Fugi kit: Pockets were a pita to do. Still not happy with bits (quite a few actually).

I reckon your hex tiles would look all right. I'd want to keep them symmetrical mind. Say two whole hexes and halves either side.

Mulling the cheapest route to shut SWMBO up! Old tray needs to go. Currently 800x800. I think she thinks we can keep the tiles! ? So 1200x800 tray to source. Waste route no issue. I'm half thinking of multi panel though I always think it looks a bit "caravan": Horrid Artex ceiling with glossed, polystyrene tiles over the shower. (We don't use this shower anymore btw).

I have had an issue a while back with the fire valve. Pretty sure I replaced this... Ditto the filter inside: I might if I'm lucky have receipts with dates and part numbers in the "boiler" file. Think it was all posted up on the eBuild forum before it went t!ts up. SWMBO messaged me to say the boiler came on fine this morning.

The boiler went in in 1998 and I changed the the jety for the first time as far as I know in 2015. That's a long time!

I replaced it in March 2015 along with making some new baffles, the gasket between the burner and the box etc.

Its working but just every now and again was locking out. Seems to be working OK at the moment. One other thing I did was rearrange the route of the fire valve capillary tube and straighten a few tight radii. Maybe that was an issue? See how it goes tomorrow.
