@JohnnyB Thanks for the links and advice. Looking into this.

Local recommended joiner / carpenter. Plenty of clients down here in South Devon who have the funds, not me. Looking at using Ikea cabinets with custom cut doors etc. About a 1/3 rd of the original price so far. New drawing using Ikea below. @AliG Wow, mind blown. You have skills....love it.

I use Sketchup (Trimble) as a free version, though limited is available.

@Bozza I do not doubt the quality and skill of the craftsmanship involved. We are near the end of the journey, broke ground in 2017 and moved in 3 years later. I have done most of the build except electrics, skimming and window fitting ( which was very poor ) so it is hard to justify spending over 10% of our total budget on two built in wardrobes. My build about £850/sqm. I have the tools and space but time is the issue as getting grief from you know who. I will start the drawings.....

Did they supply you with drawings after they had measured up? I had vertical and horizontal section drawings.

Thanks @AliG@Russdl. I think I meant cabinetry not carpentry in the title.

@AliG Can anyone recommend a cutting service ideally using plywood, I can provide accurate drawings. We are planning on some built in cupboards and drawers in 2 bedrooms but a recent quote (30K) means an alternative will be required. Any ideas appreciated. Example enclosed.

I had 9m3 of pumped Anhydrite, £2600 in 2018, 177sqm coverage at 50mm. £15.00sqm. Took about 3 hours.

@Tom @sharpener GreenGenUK fitted my Ecodan in 2019, all good so far. I have the RHI which is very similar to the grant amount.

Commissioning MVHR
Nestor replied to Ambaz79's topic in Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
My BCO would not budge and had to rent a calibrated unit from Sun Rentals. The BCO then accepted my own report but this was an unusual case compared to most on the forum. -
Hi @Novice Becky Not an expert but I think the condensation must be very high in the cold loft during winter months. I would insulate the silencers first and any obvious areas before you re-insulate the entire system. But the unit itself is very exposed to the cold.

So all the VCD 's are in the loft which enables you to turn the blade manually, no air can get in. Would insulate these as well as both ducting silencers.

Thanks @Novice Becky for the layout. I installed a Vent Axia with manifolds suppling each room individually, hence not seen a VCD. Going to ask a stupid question but is the VCD on the extract or supply in the loft area? I can only add as above the internal insulated condensate drain.

Can you identify what the arrow is pointing to, looks like a vent and what temperature is the attic during a cold spell?

Hi Russell, I used the Tata Colourcoat Urban, self install. Paid about £25 - 30sqm in 2018 so that GreenCoat is a good price. What was the installation process like?

Nestor replied to TheMitchells's topic in General Self Build & DIY Discussion
Thanks Dave, I did spot lots of panels on both roofs. You can simply add more panels to increase the rating. -

This is the EPC for the above property, just curious how you get a rating of 120? Look like panel heaters on a wall in the kitchen and landing. -
Favourite tile adhesives for large format tiles?
Nestor replied to leemkule's topic in Wall Tiles & Tiling
I have been using https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/ultra-tile-fix-proflex-spes-standard-set-flexible-s1-adhesive-white-20kg for a wet room. Only a self builder but excellent adhesion and ease of use. -

Recommendation for a SVP flashing for metal roof
Nestor replied to Kelvin's topic in Building Materials
Have a look at this thread, similar issue as I did not want to put a hole through the roof. -
Pleased you have found the problem, I having been using the Shelley EM with ct clamps for just over a year now, excellent product and app.

I fitted 3 pocket doors on our new build and have just replaced the one into the living room with a hinged door due to poor sound insulation and the rest of family unable to ever close them. Would suggest looking at quality glazed French / sliding doors for reception if you do want a quieter space.

Winter months we use about 15 kWh / day and daily average annually is 7.5kWh / day for both heating and DHW.
