  1. I only need it for basic floor plans. Nothing extravagant. I ditched my laptop for a iPad Pro which meets 99% of my needs. IOS doesn’t run sketchup though.
  2. I’m looking to buy a cheap laptop for sketchup. Would a 2015 MacBook run sketchup ok? Thanks
  3. I just don’t enjoy arguing on the internet. Saying germans buy their own brands is like saying brits drink tea. I buy German cars and tools makita apart. So do many brits, Australians, americans etc. Their artificially weak currency allows them to make maximum profit on their premium products too. It’s just a shame that it does the opposite to Spanish oranges.
  4. Yes I mean really. Can’t be bothered arguing about something so evident. Especially with someone who asks for evidence that the bbc is anti brexit. Why do you think there is a £90billion trade deficit?
  5. Financial services currently keep this country afloat. All of our money is made in the SE. We need to reestablish our car industry and like Boris said grow in pharmaceuticals and science.
  6. My point was that we have Lidl, Aldi and numerous German food products for sale. Germans don’t really buy anything other than German produce. It’s rare to see a car that isn’t German over there. Fair play to them, it’s a example we should try to follow. We don’t really produce anything anymore. Everything is imported. That is why the trade deficit is huge. I don’t think the Eu can afford a no deal brexit. It’s a lot more than £39 billion they will be losing.
  7. That is why Herr Merkel won’t allow a no deal brexit. Go to Germany and see how many uk products are on sale. If you want PG teabags you have to buy them off amazon.
  8. I can’t find a iOS version of sketchup? Only sketchup viewer.
  9. Again I’m all for democracy. Without meaning to sound rude I’m not sure many south of the border are that concerned. That is the problem with the uk. We don’t produce anything anymore for anyone to care, and most of our money is made in the SE in financial services. That is why I am pro brexit. We can start manufacturing fishing and farming again instead of importing everything. The 2 options for the vast majority of young people in the uk are McDonald’s or benefits. I’m not sure adopting the euro and the subsequent upheaval would be a good start for a new, independent nation. I can’t see a case for Scottish independence that would benefit the most vulnerable people in your society.
  10. You only have to watch any bbc debate. The Remainer will waffle on for 25 mins and the brexiteer will get 5 mins at the end where they are over spoken and attacked by the presenter and the Remainer. Its so obvious its obnoxious.
  11. I remember what they said about rejecting the euro. It’s just scaremongering by big corporations that take big contributions from the EU. The bbc should no longer be state funded. It’s a joke. Id be worried if I owned a small business relying on Eu imports or exports to the EU. Big business will be able to ride it out and switch suppliers. Look at the change in attitude from merkel and macron in the past 2 days and how it’s as impacted the £. They stand to lose much more than us. Thank god that useless idiot may has gone. She is not fit to run a corner shop. I honestly think it will be a soft brexit and they will treat the removal of the backstop as a victory. When few in England, Scotland or Wales care about it. Id personally prefer a hard brexit. I despise what the EU has become. That doesn’t mean I’m a “racist bigot who hates foreigners” as the bbc and guardian say. It means I hate excessive taxes and closed markets. The European council and the unelected arrogant bureaucrats want a European superstate.
  12. What leads you to these crazy conclusions? Stop watching bbc news and reading the guardian.
  13. ‘The low pressure tips really reduce overspray. The are shockingly good.
  14. I tested my Wagner 3.21 (Titan 440i) on exterior fencing. I was really impressed. HEA pro tips make the job easier as they are low pressure.
  15. I would imagine it is widespread now. So many new apartments are timber or sips with cladding systems.
  16. Probably not being London prices. Blocks are over £1 each.
  17. 5000, 100mm 7n above DPC. Prices have shocked me to say the least.
  18. Looks expensive. Never seen it before.
  19. Travis Perkins sent me a email today advertising internal oak doors for £55 with a minimum order of 2.
  20. What would be a fair laying rate per 100mm block in the NW at the moment? I posted a job on mybuilder and have had quotes upto £3 per block! Thanks
  21. Awful time to be buying anything imported. I honestly think the EU will buckle on the backstop issue before Halloween. The Irish economy would crash and without us, Europe will struggle to pay the bill. Boris and Trump have really put pressure on them.
  22. Cheap Chinese ones with German sounding names are best avoided. I bought a makita for a great price in a sale. Shop around.
  23. There will be at least a 12 month transition period when all the posturing is over.
  24. Strip foundations?
  25. https://u-build.org/#section-3 Apologies if this has been posted before.
