Yes Ma'am In basket, off to bank first thing.......I knew the kids Xmas money would come in handy ( joking ) Didn't even think about cameras, top man. ? Looks like @Onoff and @Steptoe have a challenge my gauntlet lobbing amigo. If I can't get a second wifi access point then I'm back to moving the VM box ( no pressure guys ).

I'll add to that in the morning -
After being offered a 4 way router from onoff, this seems spot on. Blue ray can just plat discs afaic, but 1 redundant cat 5 left in just in case my boy can't life without it. I may get a 12-way switch but the price seems to jump a bit......any recommendations? Thanks. Thanks.

This is my old VM one. Any use? I see the one you have has an rj45 in and 4 out. This one has only got the F socket and no other means to introduce the 0's and 1's ? If your saying I can run a cat 6 from my VM box to your one, I gain 4 more ports, and it'll also give me a WAP, then I'd be very grateful indeed. ?

The MBC boys have them and were second fixing skirts and architraves with them as fast as they could squeeze the trigger. The reason, as said, that these are cheap is because they're ( assume ) end of production models with ancient nimh batteries. You can get cheap copies into the future I'm sure, so I'd not let that put me off tbh. However, if your considering other tools then you REALLY should get new battery types and then naked tools. 1 charger, a couple or 3 batteries, and then just switch the same batteries between tools. If your in at the deep end, Price for gun only, then buy a cordless twin pack with combi-drill + impact + batteries + charger, but if you just want to do the lighter stuff and already have a tool kit then I'd grab it for sure, they're very handy tools.

Hmm. Sounds quite unnecessary to me. Ill run a cable for it but I'll not bother making it off I think, unless someone can add to the merit / requirement of one?

Ok, next one. I read talk of a third party wireless access point. Does this just plug into my new switch via a patch lead and give it some juice ( extra mains socket required ?). Also, if correct, recommendations please? Looks like : VM router stays downstairs ( shortest primary cable from ISP ). Cat 6 from there to new 1st floor switch using port 1 of VM box. Port 2 and 3 of VM box to living room smart tv and blue ray. Port 4 to Internet printer all in one in dining room. New switch to to feed all data points upstairs plus 1 x WAP. Cat 6 throughout.

Cheers. I'll get the cat 6 outlets for the attic today so that rooms 'done', and use tidy patch cables to interconnect. Im also chucking in a mid room data point for when he's a bit older and wants a desk and a laptop / PC.

I want to make a brick. How hard can it be?

Depends on how much chilli powder you put in, of course -
They work on any cable tbh, so agree, a good gadget for 'Justin'. .

I've got one if you want me to chuck it in the post for a lend? You just plug the generator bit into the socket and take the wand across the bundle to pick it out. Confirmation is by shorting the cable out ( I cut slowly through with a side cutters until the tone stops, indicating you 100% have the right cable ).

Thanks. Will remove tomorrow. Ta

Fitted the 47mm boxes I had, and ordered 2 of these as it meant pressing my iPhone 4 times and they then come through my door. Just about all the energy I can muster at the moment. Off to buy some Leyland High Opactiy paint and blast it all over the pink stuff. Skirting them second fix electrics, then search my phone for a mate to help fit the carpet. Almost there. ? -
At 9:30 last night I scraped the floors and keeled over. Was at it from 07:00 and I'll admit I was less than concerned about housekeeping after laying 5 bags of multi in 24oC heat. Having your entire tool repertoire in the house really helps too. In between laying on sets I'm still fitting studs and boards down the stairwell ? Down there to get cabled and boarded with handrail. Ho ho ho my arse. ?? Pub later, need one for my sanity.

Only Achilles heel with those double sockets with multiple USB outlets is the one shared PSU I opted for two single sockets with single 2.1a USB outlets so my boy cannot plug an iPod and and iPad into the same PSU and cook it . -
Just checked the bank. Soldering iron is coming out later and I'm hooking up the original ones for January. F@@@ it, only so much I can do. In 4 weeks this went from rockwool and junk to this Not bad considering I kept regular job going as well. Has a good mate help in evenings and weekends. Bribed sufficiently ???? Back to sanding ??????
