I think I can (EDF). I usually download the daily files (usage and price) then spreadsheet them.

Taking a standard rate of 20p/kWh and a simple E7 of 30p and 12p/kWh If you use 15 kWh/day then: 15 kWh x £0.2 = £3 15 kWh x ((£0.3 + £0.12)/2) = £3.15 But if 2/3rd is in the cheap rate, and that should be easy to achieve, then: (5 kWh x £0.3) + (10 kWh x £0.12) = £2.7 Now you have to put your own numbers in, which you should be able to get from a Smart meter as most do half our sampling. Or create some scenarios in a spreadsheet and shake the numbers out.

When working out the price of ToU tariffs, you cannot just add up the difference rates and divide by the number of rates. You need to use a weighted average as the consumption in each time slot becomes very important.

Welcome. Are you going to be 'hands on' or just pay for everything. Maybe somewhere in-between.

More fun with a thermal camera; what to conclude?

Why not fit a trace heater on the bottom of each module. Generally we don't have a lot of snow, but for the few quid it costs, and the probability that it will get rid of the snow, may be worthwhile.

TL:DR If you cook the flue too much i.e close to room temperature, they stop work. We used Asbestolux behind and above our saunas. Worked great, until it exploded.

Welcome. Confessing.

The ASHP install. Lots of heating on/heating off then fingers crossed.
SteamyTea commented on TheMitchells's blog entry in Renovation of Ellesmere Bungalow.
" i discovered it had been set to a particular schedule for those out at work all day - ie on for a couple of house in the morning, low during the day, warmer for the evening and off at night" So the system was not commissioned at all. Do these installers know how to set up heat pump systems. -

Well as it has AI, yes. Likes green people. This is @Pocster taking a walk in the woods, without a dog. Not sure what he expects to find.

I put in a CF into our outside light at work, it lasted about 7 years. Then put an LED one in, that has lasted about 8 years now. I no longer work at that place.

Trying to cut though the BS mainly. -
Your creditors may have a charge on your land, or may be able to get one. I don't think there is any difference between land, house or land and house as far as 'domestic' is concerned, as long as you own both. But I do see what you are getting at. I could buy some land, plonk something of value on it, and an insurance company, may claim that I was only insuring the land, not the stuff on it. Have a word with your bank, they should know about this sort of stuff, they deal with it quite a lot, even of you don't have a loan from them.

A degree in Physics will cover most of that. There was a survey a few years back where some physicist, mechanical engineers and economists had to predict the effects of a recent budget (think it was 2010). The engineers came out on top, the economists last. There is so much nonsense spoken about housing. Most people want enough space and privacy, affordable to run and buy, and close to amenities. There will always be exceptions, and most of us on here are the exceptions, so no point taking advice from Buildhubbers about social issues or minimum space requirements.

What, in the building trade. One of the most backwards looking industries in the UK.

Ah, the man that likes to perpetuate myths. If a pipe fitter, that angry with the world, turned up at my works, he would last about 2 minutes. -
Not really, but you can get them that only require a couple of 150mm holes cut though the wall. A tiny bit nosier I am told, and does take up some floor area, but no F-Gas, so easy to DIY.
