Interesting cost information for persimmon builds
SteamyTea replied to Moonshine's topic in Costing & Estimating
Just about every car made in the last 20 years is very safe. Selling safety was a cynical marketing ploy by the industry. Said this before, what they need to do is go into estate agents every weekend and ask what they have in their price bracket i.e. 3 times major wage. That should help get the message across, and piss off estate agents, who are leeches. -
Yes, and I bet they are perfectly happy that we now have sovereignty again, masters of our own destiny. And we can all eat our own chicken, apart from the stuff that comes in from Vietnam.

Wasn't BREXIT going to make us all better off. How can charging, for what is currently free, making individuals better off?

Was that Euler's Method https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euler_method

Integration is the opposite of differentiation. So if you know the curve, you can calculate the area under it with integration, differentiation allows you to calculate a value on the curve (there is more to it than this). I suspect that it is a marketing term that is based on the performance in different conditions, so could be weather compensation or ramp up times.

I saw in play at the Nags Head pub, High Wycombe, in 1977. Knew he was good then, Declan Patrick MacManus. -
Is this the place to have a moan (sigh)

Ask the brickie if he knows anyone that can help. I have always liked the saying: "Graveyards are full of indispensable people" -
Bad Airtightness Test Result

Rather than just using just external temperature as a metric, have you thought of using wind velocity as well. -
Ah right, @pocster will have to be your chauffer then, just be careful.

Hardly shows, but look what I am used to.

Might be safer for everyone else though.

Sizing up 6k Solar PV, am I on the right track?
SteamyTea replied to magutosh's topic in Photovoltaics (PV)
Was that buy a MCS installer, or a solicitor? -
I am using some Ronseal 2in1 Primer & Paint, Stays White. Stays white in the tin and only had it on woodwork since April.

That is interesting as it used to be the case that customers could not supply own modules, inverters yes, but not the modules. Worth checking on the MCS site about that. -
I have 're-timed' my E7 period to the last 3 hours. It has the added benefit of using the lower carbon period as well.

It is a combination of all the factors. It is why CoP is used, it is more useful as an overall measure.

Old cooling systems used to have a weir of cold water, this was cooled by a fan. It is these systems that caused Legionella, not modern ASHPs, or UVC. Though I am willing to start a rumour that unless you refuse to shower in water that has come from a UVC that has not been purged weekly, and kept above 65°, permanently, but only after extra chlorination, and only a rainstorm showerhead in use, you will get legionella. Oh, and the electricity to run it all will give you cancer (an unspecified one, but one must be caused by it). And not drying your bottom properly gives you piles. Showers, best avoided then. Not that I care, I am reheating rice, and we all know that is deadly.

Ah, I see, not had a telly since 1994. It has stopped me getting COVID.

They might. I don't though.

and then a large fan to whip up the surface into microscopic particles, of just the right size and temperature, that can then me sprayed over a small, but vunerable, group of people.

With chemistry sets for all the kiddies. We need a good chemist on here, physics is piss easy.

I am not offering to warm the bed up. Just breath heavily.
-
Never, unless you run the risk of running out of hot water. I am assuming that you have one of those UVC that heats incoming mains water via a coil in the cylinder. Do you worry about waterborne desease in your drinking water? The whole legonella thing is a different problem, more to do with airconditioning, not DHW. The H&E Executive have muddied the waters, uf you excuse the pun, by insisting that taps in large buildings get tested. I suspect this was a pacifier to a vocal minority, who had no idea what they are talking about.

Yhe cold, or relative humidity will nit give you pneumonia, that is an infection. So dont woery about that. There is a correlation between temperature, humidity and feeling overly hot or cold. As you are not a good sleeper anyway, try keeping the heating on permanently for a couple of nights. You will be no worse off, and you may be warmer.
