  1. Many people where, my first house was similar. Why I like insulation, airtightness and a heating system.
  2. Was there not a mink farm that had them all released near you a few years back. https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife-explorer/mammals/american-mink
  3. Thermals are the norm, fur coat is tricky. Tends to make me wheeze. My sister has my mother's old mink coat. If asked in the street, by a total stranger, if it is real, her reply is "yes, do you have a problem with that". Mt normal reply is "do you know how women get minx: the same way minx get minx" Usually defuses the situation.
  4. Have you looked at how little generation you will get from the NW facing modules? https://re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvg_tools/en/
  5. Can make you drive faster. Mainly as it is a 5V unit, not 12V.
  6. Will be different come November or December when the storage heater get flicked on.
  7. Had a look at the last full week I was here. 18.6 kWh, so 2.7 kWh/day. I think that is the lowest I have every used.
  8. I should not be allowed access to the interweb.
  9. Can use a phone, or Kindle HD Fire. They are very low power.
  10. How very Bristolian to circumcise the world with a 40 foot cutter.
  11. And keep it in the kitchen 'useful draw'.
  12. In a lab. Bet it breaks the WHO guidelines in everyday usage (5 μg/m3 for PM2.5 and 15 μg/m3 for PM10). It is fudged by allowing a higher limit for 24 hours.
  13. I wish everyone read their meters. Would make life so simple for everyone. On a more general note about estimated bills. Now a lot of people have smart meters, why don't the energy companies off the chance to pay a twelfth of the previous years usage, OR, pay what you actually owe. I know some cheapskates will get into trouble come the winter, but they will probably be in trouble anyway (and I am paying an extra 25p a day to bail them out).
  14. Generally, with highly polluting burners like these, it is normal to put a lot of energy, in as short a time, into a thermal store. Then draw what you need from that. The calculation are fairly basic, just your needs divided by the power input.
  15. 23 kWh you (expletive deleted)ign retard.
  16. Is that similar to 420 friendly and likes O. I like changing the SSID on my mobile when I am in a cafe.
  17. Do you have an IT department at work? Get the spotty 12 year old on it.
  18. You better not change the password. 11111 is an easy one to remember.
  19. Write back and ask what the power draw of it is.
  20. Seems to read as no power to the crankcase.
  21. But Unless it is not going to be connected until the house is finished. 200 Lt cylinder best and a 3 kW element at the base. With that much PV, probably get DHW all year round.
  22. I am confused with that unit. 10 (OK) k (OK) W (OK) h (hour, or 3600 seconds) day (24 h or 86,400 seconds). So 10kW x (3600 / 86400) = 0.417 kW I would expect more from a 4 kWp system this time of year. 50% more.
  23. An air pollution device that prematurely ends millions of peoples lives every year. WBS = Will be Buried Soon.
  24. Viking 1 & 2 use a 12 W transmitter, along with some 1970s technology.
  25. With booze you loose With dope you hope. Blow your mind, smoke gunpowder
