My father built dozens of houses and they used 6 foot x 6 foot timber squares, these were criss braced using 3 x 2 timber studwork with planks in top.

How not to get a large 100kg stones up to the top of a house to repair a chimney. No further comments from me on this one. I also deny having anything to do with this, don’t even know the these guys or where this is.......... and NO this is not a screen shot iof a video..... it’s just a random picture of the internet ?

Deeply uncomfortable - bit too close to the bone for me.

But a very useful reminder indeed. I'm paranoid about scaffolding safety now. Paranoid. Even worse - got @TerryE on my case... That's worse than the HSE ...

I know a guy who used a similar setup to get his roof tiles from the ground to the first lift of his kwikstage.  Only his didn't have as many metal bits. ?
