This thread really is a bloody good advert for the Buildhub forum in general as well as both of your skills.

Of course a cynic may see it as "lone female offering beer and bacon" :)

I think the balance is wrong! Too much beer and not enough bacon. No sign of life at all this morning :D

For others wanting to persuade the intrepid travellers to come and help. Here is what’s needed. This was just the aftermath once we abandoned the van in the pub car park and got a taxi home!

Perfect day for the solar though (if anyone gets out of bed). Not a cloud in the sky!

And the foil off the Tunnocks is clearly for the reflector at the rear.

You have a garden gnome! Is he @Onoff‘s little helper? ;)

@Onoff's little helper went back to uni yesterday! :(

As for the gnomes they're one of many along with other ornaments that the wife and kids used to paint up. We'd take a trip to Whelans on Sheppey and buy the raw concrete ones dirt cheap. Places like Ruxley charge a fortune for the same ones painted up.

It got the kids outside in the fresh air in one of my old T shirts. Saying that they've always been able to express themselves inside too. The pva, paint, glue and glitter over the lounge carpet is testament to this! :)

Just trying to work out how to get into GripIt economically without making Deborah Meaden .. I think it is she ... umpteen times richer than she is already.

The individual pricing of fixings and tools is so astronomical that the only sensible way is to start with the whole Trade Bucket, which means a stock of 100 and all the Tools for the sake of three fixings for one curtain pole.

Any other way means ultimately paying about three times as much. >:(>:(>:(

Still .. must be done and they will be used eventually. But this feels like a decision I have made loads of times in the also 12 months. Best price I have seen is £50 here:

Sorry meant best by. Tins, dried food and the like. I have been known to push use by dates too tho but just a little as I figure there is always a bit of leeway generally. I’m not one for getting sick as a rule. Until I do of course! Never push it with some fresh food tho. Depends what it is.

Agreed

Best before's smell, taste - or the appearance on mould growing somwhere.

Ues before - I work on a half life system.  If generally production to eat by is 1 day, I'll give a few hours; a week I'll give it 10 days, a month and it gets about 6 weeks

At least 3  - could be 6.  I have no idea how long I have had it.

That is for babies, try a Carolina Reaper raw, it makes you shake.  I know, I ate one for a laugh.

Did you laugh???
