Try my hand at most things

Hi, James here. Im 40, going on 20 going on 60 depending on what job I have ahead of me with the house!

We live in a 1980's build, which is about to be extended. I have always tried my hand at most things, but in this instance the actual build is going to need to be left to professionals. Lots of work will be required for me to get the old bit of the house ready though, including a fair bit of plumbing and a boiler move.

I'm reasonable at plumbing, carpentry, electrics (to the limits of what is allowed of course).

By trade I am a surgeon.

Looking forward to seeing who I can contribute and what I can learn here.

You'll be fine on the plumbing then, moving the boiler will be cinch. And you'll need to be more careful about your hands than most.

In this sector, you'll have fantastic bargaining power  ... "Do me a decent roof and I'll replace that knee for you"  . And if you do lobotomies , well, you'll have a free extension I recon.

Good luck.

Ian

This could quickly degenerate, and I am constantly having my posts edited.

So I am going to learn some descriptive medical terms, see how long I can get away using them.

As always we are watching and waiting!!!!

You'll no doubt have a hand in it.
