I would have a look at repairing before replacing, even considering a new burner.

More design window location etc.

Bit of topic from your question, I would change your centres of joists to 400mm, one of four things I am seriously kicking myself over....

We had a look at the structured underlay such as https://www.roofing-tools.com/Mobile/iso-mat-metal-structured-underlay-c2x23191546 But was told 2 inch air gap if battening out but the underlay which was lucky if 1 inch gap.... work involved with doing 2 inch battening on roof if I was paying somebody I would have done more research into the underlay!!

They are a few problems with ventilation under zink so need good ventilation. There is a treated version which is better so less ventilation. I don't think you need ventilation under the stainless (for the steel but maybe/likely for roof build up) so this gave us more faith in the material but we are fully ventilated anyway (belts and braces). I also prefer the stainless look but there is a tin coat on it so you can solder it. The tin does dampening down the finish, it's actually mojre like lead. This is a really good website for material/tool suppliers. https://www.roofing-tools.com/Mobile/stainless-steel-c102x3122804

We went exactly the same decisions and ended up with stainless. We are copying this house in Aberdeenshire. http://www.exhibitorlist.co.uk/vision-london-2015/exhibitor/4879/aperamuginox . We done a quick drive by a few months ago and it still looked V good!

Cutting down a TPO tree by mistake - Enzo's homes
Alexphd1 replied to Moonshine's topic in Planning Permission
Everybody to their own but I think there is a lot bigger crimes go unpunished than somebody cutting down a tree..... Up to £20k fine up here if caught per tree but very rare they follow it up. -

Did they gain anything from cutting it down? I think mention of jail time or cancel of planning policy is a bit drastic. -
Can't comment on the duriosl. The icf costs are pretty competitive, what thickness is the extra insulation? Is the raft a mix of EPS 100/300 or 100% EPS 300 as if the latter it's bang on! The zonts are a good product. Also watch shipping costs I underestimated this on my insulated raft material from Ireland while the nudara price inc shipping.

Welcome Your journey sounds very similar to us, sometimes I think we are just making life hard for ourselves! Love the two tone ICF!

cold bridge would this help

Was that finished installed price inc concrete? -
That would be a bugger of a job with normal pipe insulation but you could try pipe insulation tape. It's only 3mm thick but would be better than nothing. Here's a link but shop about. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Armaflex-Pipe-Insulation-Tape-50mm/dp/B0069R66BA

Wood burning stove and flue install
Alexphd1 replied to ProDave's topic in Stoves, Fires & Fireplaces
Very tidy. We have a wood gasification boiler in the garage and underestimated the flue cost greatly? -
Depends on your design ie big lintels for quantity . Rebar cost was only a fraction of icf cost for a normal designed house but watch supplier big price differences.

@MikeGrahamT21 a good point you raise but opener is asking about a manifold for domestic hot and cold which only needs a basic manifold with isolating valves (no flow gauges/pumps etc). Will be starting to pipe our manifold shortly but my father is not 100% on idea, he thinks I'm nuts even considering 12mm mlcp pipe for feeding basins etc. Hope he's wrong!

Anybody want to buy a few thousand plastic cable clips??

What is the best pipework system for a life inside the wall?
Alexphd1 replied to MikeSharp01's topic in General Plumbing
Uponor mlcp with pressfit fittings. Unfortunately not diy as the machine is pretty expensive, but NEVER had a leak yet. -
Why should I use Durisol or why some other type

Sorry 4 delay. It's a graco a-25 from sprayplant2k. It's 3 phase machine and it needs a pretty decent air supply. There are single phase machine but 3 phase are more common so I hoped it would be easier to sell when finished. -
It's a shame this has happened over such a simple job.
-
Sorry to repeat already what's been said but even many moons ago when I was installing unvented cylinders you wouldn't consider not using a tundish. It even comes part of the installation kits so no need to be extra out of pocket.

Your figure are pretty close. Think 380mm approx 0.1u. The graco agent in Leeds we bought the machine from had a few 2nd hands one aswell for a few £k less. Getting open cell bba certified foam is tricky, plenty non certified but there is a few suppliers going through bba at the moment. This is not a easy option, lot of time involved researching etc. -

Installed cost is similar to purchase cost of pir/pur. You can DIY, because we are! We are splitting the cost of machines between myself and father (2x builds). Cost ways we are away ahead but I believe we are getting a good product at the end of the day! -

Have a look on you tube and search kishorn insulation, it's a promotional video but pretty good (No comnection) I am not 100% sure on how good it is for decremantal delay but I believe it's somewhere in between blown cellulose and pir. Also the added benefit you it's pretty good for air tightness.
