  1. ive been experimenting on this very issue as we have quite a few in the garden. tried block paving sealer, porcelain sealer and linseed oil. after 4 months its a tossup between block paving sealer and linseed oil with linseed oil seeming to last longer.
  2. just make sure not too much water is left in the trench, BCO dont like too much as it weakens the conc.

  4. a normal plate wacker will be fine unless you plan on parking 40 ton artics in the living room!
  5. The only issue you may have is the filter getting blocked up with dust/flies etc. I was amazed just how filthy our intake filter was after just a month, it was black. Zehnder recomened 120 days but im changing them 30-60.
  6. sectional tracks will sit behind the reveal and hang from the ceiling so doesnt matter if the rafters are not level, they will level the straps.
  7. if you have budget, id go for electric underfloor in bathrooms so you can use it in the summer when you dont want the rest of the heating on. As i mentioned earlier with karndean its not cold anyway, ceramic tiles are different of course.
  8. any builder who needs a welfare cabin would be off the shortlist immediately. They are there to work.
  9. pull off the 3 way solenoid, set system to dhw and not which direction the solenoid turns. manually turn the valve to DHW position and refit solenoid so when it returns to heating its turning the right way.
  10. why would it ? It's not in direct contact with soil so as long as cavity remains dry (tray) wil be fine. stick to scribbling.
  11. have a look at https://www.intelligentchargingsystems.co.uk/products/5106632-5-12-kwh-home-battery-storage-system#product-specicifations £2kish
  12. looks cheap, a powerwall 3 is £7k. I have the powerwall 2 and its great. It's not an in roof system though so will not look very good hanging out the roof. Some properties it doesnt matter but some it does to be aware.
  13. bottom up blind and a stanly knife ? https://www.orderblinds.co.uk/dept/perfect-fit-bottom-up_d01359.htm
  14. who's decision to use reclaimed instead of new ?
  15. sit them on marmox blocks. they are structural.
  16. looks to be a type of ludlow, take it to your nearest merchant they will tell you. https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/product/marley-ludlow-major-interlocking-concrete-roof-tile.html
  17. turn it over
  18. While it may be good in principle, in reality how do you do it ? Infil plots are rarely large enough to plant extra trees and who wants trees anyway with the potential for damage and maintenance. It's just a tax plain and simple.
  19. just the normal house NAPIT type cert was all we needed.
  20. id let them add all the conditons they like, secure planning. then appeal the conditions with costs. its free so nothing to lose. Unfortunately dead head civil servants are completely unaccountable in the country so can literally do what they want with zero repurcussions.
  21. overthinking it. just leave them on auto with a fan on/off temp set then let the heat pump control them.
  22. ideally you should be using marmox on the inner skin all way round anyway.
  23. not true actually. If it were the case the bank would be on the hook for all the liability and you would be a tenant. You are allways the owner, the bank has a legal charge is all.
